For congress, I would do anything.
Captain Briggs
Hello dear friends. 🙂
As you may know, I did not win a congress seat during the recent elections. This was not due to a lack of votes, but a lack of experience on my part. In fact, I was the least experienced candidate running in Queensland, and so it was no surprise I was placed the lowest out of all 4 players who received equal votes as myself - 3. Which unfortunately saw me gain no seat.
This was a mistake on my behalf and something I should have saw coming. To expect to win a seat, less than a month since beginning the game - was foolish at best, and I should have known better. Despite all of my activity, and the effort I put it, I should have known my chances were always going to be very slim, especially due to my sometimes controversial views.
It is for this reason, that for the next 25 days, I will be in Indonesia, fighting for PEACE - an alliance I, and all Australians, should treasure.
I will be fighting every day without rest, as hard as I can, gaining as much experience as possible. So that on my return next month, for my second run, I will have the experience required the get the job, and get it safely.
I hope that by doing this I will show to all of you my passion for the things I believe in, my devotion, and most importantly, my willpower, that makes me be the best I can be at anything I try, no matter how hard or challenging.
I see losing the election not as a setback to my goals, but as a step-forward, and something I can use to grow. Thank you to the people that did vote for me, and to let you know that I see this lose as a win, and know that from out of it, I will return stronger than ever.
Until next month,
Captain Briggs

Good luck next time briggs 😉
Keep trying, you're contributing even with your candidacy.
Lawl.
So you failed to gain election and ran off back to eIndo, denying your labour to the australian market-and just in time to receive an indonesian citizenship. I smell essence of stooge-
If it looks like crap, and smells like crap, then it probably is crap and I'm sure you'll forgive me if I don't wish to taste it.
Yes due to my inexperience. I am not running back, since I was never there before.
The Australians who go overseas to fight in any country deny their 'labour' to the Australian market, so this point you have made is negligible, especially when I'm leaving to come back stronger, which helps Australia fyi, Something I cannot do if I stayed due to the country having no wars on.
I don't want an Indonesian citizenship, but I don't have the money, and wouldn't have, to fly back and forth between countries come citizenship implementation. I have figured since I am Australia irl, I will be granted citizenship when I come back, and so I shouldn't need to waste money on moving tickets.
I honestly don't understand why you even bothered to comment on this at all if your post was going to be full of such negativity and pointless/useless comments.
I would have thought that the word 'everything' in the phrase'I would do everything for congress' might include more than just breezing into town for elections-foolish me!
Far from my comment being pointless/useless I would suggest that the 'everything' that you say you would do for congress should be re-stated as 'very little'. We have wargames planned, as you are no doubt aware so training will be available. I will save my political support for candidates whose PRIMARY motives are pro-eAus and would urge all eAussies to do the same.
My motives are pro-eAus, I don't know where you're massive bias and ass-hattery is coming from.
Welcome to politics buddy, and if my comments offend you then you will crash and burn should you be elected, and responding with trash-talking and name calling marks you as a person unable to control his emotions-something usually regarded as undesirable in politics. It's a democracy mate, and if you put your opinions up for scrutiny then you should be prepared to be disagreed with. I have read your articles and I disagree with your politics-simple. As for you I have no idea and I don't care. I will refrain from your schoolyard name calling because it's childish. You should also because it's political suicide.
Biggus, your comments have exceeded there "Use" and contradict your own point made within them, such as "trash-Talking". Please refrain from flaming in such a manner, as it isn't necessary. Also, please refrain from fuelling such behaviour Briggs. I know it's annoying when someone contradicts you in such a way but you may recall the "ass-hattery" that came from others, which we really don't need. eAustralias had enough of flame wars 😛.
On a side note Briggs, I am sending you a moving ticket in case you should return for citizenship. If you require a return ticket, I would be happy to oblige 🙂.
Now, just to hit a note here:
Each citizen is entitled to his/her own opinion, if that opinion is against someone elses then we must live with it. Biggus may have stepped over a border and perhaps things got a little heated, but his remarks are basically allowed. He disagrees with you. In the world of opinions, what floats one boat will sink another. That's basically what is happening here.
Oh, and just to verify, I'm not an admin or anything, I just have a bad habit of speaking formally 😛 and appearing to be attempting to moderate ect. Just a bad habit 😛
@ Briggs
Don't worry bout not getting in. I got in first term and it had nothing to do with you as you would be a great candidate. You just ran in a state that had many also great candidates. Next time research lik i ran in Tas first than NT. You'll have my vote next time, i'll keep an eye out 😛
Oh and Typeride is Johnathon Brown 😛
Bad luck briggs, on the occasions ive spoken to you you seem like a good guy who is well articulated, which is more then i can say for some of the senators already...
I c4n n0t sp3lling?
😛
I agree with Patti, you're also a good bloke on the IRC (Despite your constant insults of my Photoshopping 😛)
I have no problem with your disagreement Biggus, but when you disagree with something in a rude and offensive way (ie. your original response), I'm not afriad to respond.
Your second and third responses were fine, just try to think a little bit more before you start off your arguments next time. 😉
Thank you everyone else for your support.
M8 u were very very unfortunate, I was seriously hoping you would make it in as you are undoubtedly very active and highly intelligent. Its an aweful shame you didnt make it and I hope you come back soon.
