Manic Frenzy for NSW senate (TBP)

Day 609, 23:57 Published in Australia Australia by Manic Frenzy

Hello to all eAussies out there and especially to New South Wales (NSW)
I hope to be running for NSW Congress in the July 15th elections so I’d like to introduce myself.
In real life (RL) I am a full time student. I have worked in various industries in the past from logistics to live productions and from timber yards to electronic and computer repairs. In a couple of these industries I have been a self employed owner operator.

I started playing eRepublik just before the Queensland region was returned back to eAustralian (eAus) control.
My knowledge of this game progressed at a rate relative to what I could do at the time. From struggling to get to level 5 and moving to NSW with the help of Centrelink to working each day and then being able to create my own organisation and buy a company. Since purchasing a company and now working with srg91 (Minister of Foreign Affairs (MoFA)) as an assistant applicant, my learning curve has jumped off the scale and I am enjoying the challenge.

A strong, healthy, wealthy and wise eAus is the main goal of the game as I see it.

We can build eAus strong enough to earn respect amongst larger population countries. Our geographical position must be taken into account when analysing our general neutrality in this world and our continued friendship with eIndonesia.
We have a smaller population compared to a lot of other countries so it's important that with the population we do have, we motivate and nurture them into completing the minimum that is required of each of us and that is to work and train each day and buy some food now and then. This only takes a couple of minutes and I see it as the inherent duty of all of us as eAussies. Our private goals of striving for personal wealth should never be at the expense of our fellow countrymen because if our countrymen are strong, eAus will be strong and you will be stronger for it.

So how can we make eAus stronger. By communication and information. There is a definite lack of both around here.
We need greater communication between the government orginisations and the people so that no one is made to feel like they have been left out in the 'cold'. We need to be one big family of forward progressing individuals.

Take for example a new player that perhaps has a limited knowledge of federal politics and the new player is trying to figure out what is going on. Where is the easily accessible and concise information for such simple things as the acronyms that get bandied about. Every body is using these acronyms but nobody is expressing them in a proper accepted manner in the written form.

How is a new player to know what a dropbear is. It may sound completely ridiculous the first time you hear it.
Where is the easily accessible information that can tell the new player these things when the new player is ready to find it. The wiki is not the place to go, it may have some basic information but a lot of the game mechanics in it is very amateurish and it is not up to us to educate the rest of the eWorld.
We can do simple things like make a list of the names and acronyms that we use and put it in our website.
Don't isolate our population by implying that it's a boys club and insinuating that if you don't know then your not invited.
We want to bring them in.

What I aim to do is to make it happen. I will bring in standards that will be easy to follow, such as at the beginning of a forum thread, any name of an object will be written out in full, eg: Minister of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) and it only has to be done once. That way anyone can understand what is going on. It is a standard used everywhere and it is a bloody good idea to use it here.
Create lists that are easy to update and easy to find, such as a list of all the senate and cabinet members with their positions written in full and with the acronym used.
Making sure the government programs are bringing people into the fold and that we are reaching out to them.

Having good procedures in place allows for easy retrieval of information for newer players and optimises the amount of time spent by our elected officials and public servants.

Communication is a key point in any multiplayer game and I would be looking for good procedures that can be standardised and implemented in other areas that may require them. Drawing up flow charts of all government organisations and companies would be a personal pet project of mine to oversee so that any one can find where they need to go.

We are all part of a forward moving and forward thinking eNation.
One eNation, under one flag, working towards a common goal for all.

Lets play the game - the best that we can.

Sincerely,
Manic Frenzy.
