Why hello, Tasmania

Day 608, 11:53 Published in Australia Australia by Patrick Reckitt

Why hello there, Tasmania. I wish to announce to I am standing for re-election as Senator, on behalf of the Australian Communist Party, in Tasmania.

Why is it, then, that you should re-elect me to such an important and worthwhile job? Because I believe that I am well qualified, because I believe I am diligent and because I believe that I can represent your interests in the Senate.

What are these qualifications that I speak of? Well, here they are:

MP for Yorkshire and Humberside (Dec – Jan term)
Under Minister for Foreign Affairs (UK)
Sergeant and then Colonel in the Royal Guards (UK)
Liberal Social Democrat Party President
Movement for Democratic Unity Vice President
Commanding Officer of the Philippines Naval Fleet and Philippines Navy Marine Corps
Australian DoD Staff

I hope these go some way to showing the range of experience I have, in both foreign affairs, domestic politics and the military. I hope the fact that I have managed to get, repeatedly, to positions of responsibility and hold them shows my diligence. I'm also open to Pms from anyone, constituents in particular, if anyone wishes to give their view on what should be happening in the Senate. Finally, I would just like to point out that I wholeheartedly support Senate Reform and have already started to address that issues that blight our Senate. I will do as much as I can on this issue, should I be re-elected.

Thank you
