This is my interview of HazzN over IRC.

Divinitywolf: Hi HazzN
HazzN: Hi
Divinitywolf: how're you today?
HazzN: Not bad. Campaigning like the clappers is giving me shoulder ache.
HazzN: hehe
Divinitywolf: haha I can imagine
Divinitywolf: Now I'm aware you've already been interviewed so I'll try to avoid questions you've already been asked.
HazzN: Ok
HazzN: 🙂
Divinitywolf: As we're all well aware of your policies, which you've published in your manifesto, I'd like to partly focus on you as a person to give people an insight into who you are, rather than seeing you as a political figure head
Divinitywolf: From the last interview and various articles posted by you, we already know quite a bit about your background but as we're also aware you're leaving us soon, can I ask what you wanted to achieve in eRepublik?
HazzN: I joined eRepublik for two reasons
HazzN: 1. So I could be a Media Mogul
HazzN: 2. One day rule the world
Divinitywolf: haha who doesn't want to rule the world
HazzN: But yeh, turned out politics were somewhat serious, especially in the UK.
HazzN: Which was good, I enjoy political debates and it felt like an intellectual work out every evening
Divinitywolf: I know what you mean. When I first joined I never realised how serious the game was
Divinitywolf: So when you first joined what were your initial impressions?
HazzN: Well I joined because my GF badgered me into it
HazzN: I joined the "We Are Borg" party and was going to have a good lol
HazzN: Only I kind of felt isolated I suppose
HazzN: It's not very interactive
HazzN: It's the forums that make the game.
HazzN: God bless roadrunnerspeed and squiddy for introducing me to them!
Divinitywolf: yeah I can't imagine the borg party being very active
Divinitywolf: too robotic for my tastes 😉
HazzN: hehe
HazzN: Star Trek ftw
Divinitywolf: so did you think you'd be where you are now, when you first started?
HazzN: Oh God no
HazzN: I was surrounded by these great politicians
HazzN: and I found it difficult to get my foot in the door
HazzN: My first post was totally ignored
HazzN: I believe it was Taytaz who took pity on me and helped me into the fold
Divinitywolf: I can understand that. It can be a bit overwhelming at first
HazzN: And he told me "In two months you'll be in congress"
HazzN: and I refused to believe him
HazzN: Two months later I was in congress 😃
Divinitywolf: haha
Divinitywolf: respect your elders HazzN
HazzN: Indeed I still feel awed when in the company of Dishmcds and such
Divinitywolf: eRep is good for giving that sense of personal achievement
Divinitywolf: So are you happy with what you've achieved in eRepublik?
HazzN: I would say so
HazzN: Except ruling the world hehe
HazzN: I'd like to be President of course
HazzN: JerryGFL beat me quite fairly the first time I ran
HazzN: I was gutted I had to drop out last time
Divinitywolf: Yeah I remember those elections. It is quite competitive in the UK
HazzN: Certainly is
Divinitywolf: I guess thats the beauty of a small country like the Philippines. It provides opportunities for new members
HazzN: Yes it does
HazzN: But at the same time, you need experienced people to lead the way
HazzN: Especially in a small country where you are so prone to attack and political take over
Divinitywolf: Thats true. Always need a balance of new enthusiasm and experience
Divinitywolf: So we've heard many complimentary things about the Philippine community. What are your opinions on this? How does this community differ from others?
HazzN: I like it
HazzN: I even released an article about it a little while back
HazzN: I love how even people in other parties work together for a greater good
HazzN: Competition is one thing yes, but fighting just for the same of fighting is bad
HazzN: We should work together
HazzN: So far we are doing just great
HazzN: same = sake
Divinitywolf: we are indeed. Our teamwork showed against the Guru Varnish take over attempt, wouldn't you say?
HazzN: Certainly
HazzN: And your hard work
Divinitywolf: 🙂 why thank you
HazzN: Credit where credit is due and all that
Divinitywolf: so I'd like to talk a bit about the elections
Divinitywolf: We've recently heard EZEX Lacroa is running for president. What do you feel about this new competition?
HazzN: Well I welcome competition
HazzN: It's kind of an anti climax to have campaigned so hard and just to get given the position
HazzN: But at the same time, I'm not sure he's running for the right reasons
Divinitywolf: Thats true. You want to feel like you've earned it
HazzN: In eRepublik real life means nothing
HazzN: It's about the work you have put into your eCommunity
HazzN: I think most would consider me an eFilipino
HazzN: Even if I am from mixed decent
Divinitywolf: This leads onto my next question
Divinitywolf: Several Filipino's have mentioned the desire to have a RL Filipino President. What are your views on this?
HazzN: I really don't think it matters that much, as again I say, eLife and RL are nothing to do with each other
HazzN: Though I understand the patriotism
HazzN: But if you are going to run a RL Filipino, he MUST have some sort of policy and plan for the future
HazzN: It can't just be about national pride
HazzN: Being Country President is a lot more than just a figure head, you need understanding of the game to make it work
Divinitywolf: National pride is a factor though surely?
Divinitywolf: We all want to give our country a good image
HazzN: Oh certainly
HazzN: But you can be patriotic without being racist
HazzN: I live in UK in RL, and I know people who have moved from Vietnam and India who fly Union Flag
HazzN: Because they live here, they are proud to be here
Divinitywolf: Ok then. So what was your personal motivation for running for president?
HazzN: Well the last month has slowly come to a halt
HazzN: I'd like to push Philippines forwards again
HazzN: We have so much potential
HazzN: There were very few people left in the FPM with the experience and activity level to be President
HazzN: It's certainly something I would be good at
HazzN: We're going to get our message out a lot more over the next month
Divinitywolf: So your plans for the university to educate people...would that cover educating Philippine citizens so we would have future experienced leaders
HazzN: Yes exactly the reason
HazzN: We have a lot of Filipino's who have great potential, but are not really getting involved
HazzN: It would be great to see more
HazzN: And the way to do that is to teach them as they sign up, so they stay around and work towards congress and maybe even Country President positions
Divinitywolf: What are your views on the activity level of the Philippines? Our population is not very high, especially regarding active citizens
HazzN: Yes, well I must say I am a little disappointed that not may appear on the forum to take part in Congress discussions
HazzN: I was told everyone is on the other forum, but I have been loitering on there and haven't seen more than three or four people
HazzN: It is a shame, the more people involved, the more we can get done
HazzN: The faster our country will grow
Divinitywolf: That is true and thats the one thing I miss from the UK, the activity on the forums
HazzN: Though I will say the military is quite active, we don't get many drop out
Divinitywolf: Have you any regrets moving from the UK to the Philippines?
HazzN: Not really
HazzN: The UK just turned into one big flame war
HazzN: I'm a little gutted that since I left a few have seen fit to spread lies about me
HazzN: Which kind of ruined the reputation I had
HazzN: But I know the people who know me don't believe that crap so it's fine
Divinitywolf: Well your reputation will always stand strong in the Philippines
HazzN: Thanks
Divinitywolf: So that just about concludes this interview
Divinitywolf: any closing thoughts?
HazzN: That I hope people will at least look at my policies for the next month
HazzN: And not just refuse to vote for me because of my RL heritage
HazzN: I have a vision for our future, and I know I can pull it off
HazzN: If you like that vision, then nothing else matters
Divinitywolf: well you'll certainly have support
HazzN: Thanks
