[ICF] Change is Needed in Ireland!

We at the ICF believe that change is needed in this country. Ireland is continuing down the road of stagnation and weakness. We at the ICF are only party pushing for radical reform of Ireland for the better.
-Erepublik is a Game-
At the ICF we recognize Erepublik for what it is – a game. We would like to see attitude change in Ireland to reflect this. Many citizens in Ireland are too serious about matters. Neutrality and isolationism are boring. There is nothing wrong with waging war for war’s sake, or moving and fighting in a war for experience and fun. Some citizens dismiss our economic views based upon their real life views. They again fail to realize that this is a game. Limited amounts of communism and State control of the economy can be very successful. Citizens of Ireland need to start treating Erepublik more like a game.
-A Strong, Economically Powerful Ireland-
At the ICF we believe in expanding the role the government plays in the industry. We will start to push for a higher income tax to bring more revenue for the government. Through this revenue the government can set up and maintain more State companies, providing high wages and plentiful goods for Irish citizens. This will also allow us to better equip and fund our military for the defence of Ireland from conquest and political takeover. For more details on our economic plan please see our manifesto.

At the ICF we believe in expanding our military capability and action, and making Ireland a larger player in the world. Do you want to listen to the defeatist views of our current Minister of Foreign Affairs, Eamon_de Valera?
They will talk about needing to put eIreland on the international stage, something that is simply impossible to do, due to our size and lack of RM that make this nation less popular than the larger nations.
NO! Ireland should rise up from weakness! The attitude for far too long has been that unless we are neutral and isolationist, we will be subjected to the wills of stronger countries, or conquered. This is not the case! There is a middle path! Ireland can be a nation that stands proud with her allies on the international stage, and on the battlefield.
Only with the overthrow of the current government can these dreams be realized. On June the 5th, cast your ballot for change. Cast your ballot for a stronger Ireland.

Lets all keep in mind that there is a large age of players here. The younger players are here 'just for fun' while us older players usually have a more serious agenda. Each is equally valid and this makes the game interesting.

My serious agenda in this game is success for the country I chose to be involved in when I started this game. My idea of fun is certainly NOT insulting, slandering, and trying to force a new way of life on others because I am bored.
From what I have seen in the media comments and elsewhere, the majority of us DON'T want your change. You all strike me as bored trouble making bullies.
A serious agenda does not mean avoiding all kinds of change, or conflict. The only way Ireland can be successful is by expanding her role in international politics.
You claim that you want eIreland to be a major player on the world stage yet you also say this:

So basically you want to grow by forcing eIreland to listen to your views. Because you are the largest group of egotistical nitwits, you think that the best way for prosperity for eIreland is by a controlled government, controlled by you. I'm not the least bit grumpy. In fact, as a member of the Dial in our current democracy, I along with my fellow TDs have a lot of power. It is power hungry people such as yourself that want to take it away from the real decision makers.

more state companys? it makes no sense they cost money for the goverment and these state companys have far to much power i can remember being in irish state gifts it had a workforce of 200 then 0 the more private companys eireland has the better as it makes money for eireland rather than take money away and those private companys have a smaller workforce (insuring that 200 people dont loose there jobs at the click of a politians button).also your milatary plans are bad yes we would need new territory for the resoures but eireland cant go on the international stage as on an international level were a very small country if your milatary views went into action we would all within a matter of weeks be controlled by a stronger nation who you tryied and failed to conquer and if that happens a resistance war is very costly but dont look at the icf they were busy making state companys.and about the "At the ICF we recognize Erepublik for what it is – a game" comment yes it is agame but making desions like that instantanly wont make it any more fun.
ICF is a scam, just a ISRP party since they needed more leadership position for Theus and other members that weren't active.

I was in Fianna Fail too and as a congressman i won lots of votes and was helping to turn it around before we got taken over.
And yes when it was taken over i was a bit confused, so i bit my tongue and carried on just to see where it would go. I CAN NOW SAW I DO NOT FULLY SUPPORT THE VIEWS BUT SOME OF THEM ARE GOOD.

its a game yes, but this game is to me a place of refuge, in RL my idea's are not worth much, if i make a speech it will not effect or move more than the little number of people who hear it, I cannot make my country a better place nor improve the standard of living. Erepublik is a place where my input is important, my views, critisisms and ideas will be taken on board and I as well as every member here has the power and influence to change the country they live in and the world that surrounds them, therefore this place is more than just a game, its a group of people making an effort to achieve the great things that may not be possible in the real world. This is why I take the game seriously and hope others do to. if you want war and power try playing a game that is designed upon that, erep is designed to be almost like a second life, the whole game centers around serious subjects, just look at all the different areas involed in the design of this game , you really think the whole things was meant to be for laughs and giggles?

As a member of the UK's PCP I very much agree with you about the potential of state control. This game does inevitably focus around nationalistic factors and the military rather than the individual and the businessman.
However I disagree with you about what you should use that military might for. I feel that there are actually plenty of opportunities for war by simply defending other countries from imperialism rather than be imperialistic yourselves.

Hi, I'm from eCroatia and we have the same problem here. We've got a lot of emmigrants who went to countries at war because they are simply bored. I recently wrote an article titled "eCroatia Died from Overdose by eBoredom!". That's how horrible the situation there is. Go ICF!
I agree. When I "lived" in eIreland, it was boring.
communists aren't they only ones who control the economy. National Socialists do that to. And since you can't rely seize and redistribute wealth, how is that going to work out for you?
Real communism means everyone makes the same amount, I don't really see it coming in small bits.

While I'm an American, I am of Irish blood, and recognize the value of good words at the appropriate time.
I'm not an eRepublik Irish citizen, so have not much opinion on whether a state-run economy would succeed or fail. I think it was brave of you to propose it, because in RL, that model has failed.
If you go that way, I hope you have more success.
Oh, and I think Ireland should have much more voice on the world stage.
I know eIreland can't flood Indonesia with tanks, but it would be nice to see the Irish PM write an article about what happened in Germany, or Latvia, or China, or India.
Even if you don't have great military power, you can have great moral power.
