Play in Your Sandbox!

Day 512, 19:28 Published in USA USA by Q J Lincoln

Sometimes, you might want to experiment before writing an article in the wiki. To do this, it is best to use a Sandbox. A sandbox is a page created in the user name space (prefix user: ), outside of the main wiki, where users can experiment.

To show you how to create a sandbox, I will create one for eRepublik citizen Bart Simpson as an example:
*Type in the search fiel😛 User:Bart Simpson/Sandbox
*The results screen should appear with no results
*Click the red "User:Bart Simpson/Sandbox" link at the top of the page
*The screen will refresh and Bart's sandbox will open for him to start creating.

Sandbox Notes:
*Users can have more than one sandbox, they should be named User:name/Sandbox 1, User:name/Sandbox 2, etc.
*Sandboxes should be temporary. When the user is done working with the item in the sandbox, he or she should delete all content on the page or have the page deleted.
*It is a good idea to create a link to your sandbox on your User page so that you remember you have it and so that you have quick access to it. (Bart Simpson would type it on the User:Bart Simpson page.)
