World | Brazil CP, Bunaly Receive Nobel Prize for... EVIL

STOCKHOLM, Sweden – Brazilian president Cavalcanti and former Philippine president Bunaly were jointly awarded the Noble Prize by the Norwegian Nobel Committee, yesterday, for their “outstanding contributions to the promotion and propagation of EVIL” for their involvement in the plunder of the then-newly established Republic of the Philippines.

The award came in conjunction with eRepublik’s 500th day celebrations.

Bunaly had recently led a group of Brazilian expatriates who, under the banner of the National People's Coalition, seized the majority of seats in the Philippine Congress and ransacked the public coffers.

Although, Calvalcanti publicly condemned Bunaly's plunder activities, investigations showed that he received large sums of money from the latter immediately preceding the looting incident.

Besides Cavalcanti, the Brazilian defense ministry was also one of Bunaly's beneficiaries, investigations revealed.

However, in exclusive interviews with both Brazilians, they denied all plunder allegations.

“I wasn't involved with the Takeover done by Bunaly and his friends in Philippines, so it would be unfair to award me for a thing that I didn't do,” Cavalcanti told The Outsider.

Bunaly, on the other hand, claimed that he merely “got played by [an] Iranian mastermind”, and that he “got all the blame for something that [he] did not do”.

According to him, he was part of “Operação ALPHA... uma operação Anti-Takeover para impedir que o GOLD da Filipinas fosse roubado (Operation ALPHA... an Anti-Takeover operation to prevent the [Philippine GOLD from being] stolen”.

He said it was their goal to politically fend of Hungarian, Turkish and Iranian interests in the country and prevent them from siphoning off all of the Philippines’s public funds.

However, their operation failed when it was sabotaged by an Iranian called Sardar Peach, who, he said, duped Congress into diverting the ill-gotten wealth to an organization that Bunaly and his cronies did not control.

Referring to his ordeal in the Philippines, he said, “I went as a savior and came out as a monster.”

Then again, Cavalcanti remains adamant in denouncing Bunaly and even quipped, “we [call] Bunaly as ‘Ursinho megalomaníaco’ - ‘little megalomaniac’ bear in Portuguese’ - and I'm pretty sure that he will love this award.”
