Vote BlackAdder for the TBP in NT
Election time is closing in and its time to yet again choose who you want to represent you in congress.
With more parties in Aus you have even more choice for who you want in the senate which is one of the major triumphs of Australian politics I say, with more choice comes more power for the people.
I will give a brief outline of what I stand for in the hope of gaining your vote
Economy
A strong economy means a strong country.
I believe in keeping prices as low as possible (while private investors still make a profit) by keeping inflation as low as possible, while possibly even having some deflation.
Some may think this makes us less rich, but it gives us a much stronger exchange rate which actually makes us richer.
This will be achieved primarily by a large education scheme, teaching GMs how to run a company and pay fair but sustainable wages
Foriegn Policy
I believe we must remain neutral.
We must stay independant of any BLOC
It would be in our best interests to maintain a strong relationship with Indonesia and work through diplomacy to regain our regions.
I will support an alliance with Indonesia if the terms are we will NOT help with conquest, only defense, a mutual defense pact will strengthen our relationship and increase our military strength.
Social policy
I support a wellness scheme as long as it stays ecconomically sustainable. The current medicare system works quite well. I also wish to establish an "emergency room" where citizens with less than 30 wellness will be gifted or provided food (depending on the situation) if they are active and request it. This will operate much like the request gifts and wellness thread in the forum but will be government funded.
I support one government training company in each industry offering a baseline wage of $1 to cover employment of new citizens when the private sector does not. They should not compete with private companys and contribute to wage inflation as they have done in the past.
Military policy
I support a strong, organised military. I support the possibility of Tasmania as a training ground with Indonesia, it will increase our strength as a nation, with the completion of the Q5 hospital it will increase wellness across the nation and when our military gains strength will reduce foriegn interference with our country.
Conclusion
A vote for me will not be a vote wasted, I will be active like I have been in my two terms as a senator, and will not resign as many of my fellow senators have this term, and i will voice my input on every importaant issue.

What i mean in the Foreign part is staying independant of PEACE or ATLANTIS. I believe we could have some sort of alliance with Indonesia without getting too caught up in global politics

That's insanity. Why on earth would you want to help a powerful neighbouring country to become even stronger? Surely we should be reducing the advantage that eIndonesia has over us, not increase it.
AW, the amount of aussies that fight there would almost certainly be more than the amount of indos. On top of that Indonesia is our only neighbor and them giving our territory back with no unreasonable restrictions is a sign of friendship

@Blackadder - nice post - I have a question though, can Tasmania really be used as an ongoing training battle if we own all the neighbouring territories? (I was imagining Indonesia must have a neighbour to have an ongoing fight, or can we just keep an ongoing training RW?)

Don, good question
I am not personally involved in the negotiations with Indonesia, so I cant give an absolute answer to that, but I can speculate on how it will work and there are about 3 situations
1) Ongoing RW as you said
2) Tas returned, then a conquest war started from SA before it is returned
3) Same as 2 but SA is not returned, Indo don't have a high grain region so the possibility of them keeping SA was discussed, if this was the case we would get WA
Apart from a training war in Tas the other option is a MPP with indo and getting xp in the wars they fight
