Day 366, 13:03 Published in USA by Plato

The New World – 366 days of granting citizenship.

In the dawn of eRepublik, two hundred adventurers from planet Earth became the first citizens of the New World. After a week, the number of settlers reached one thousand. As we speak, more than fifty-five thousand are writing the pages of eHistory.

For the first time in eHistory, country presidents and congressmen were elected on the 1st day of December. Since then, twelve general elections have been held in the New World. These days citizens vote for their country's president on the 5th of every month.

In the first party elections 100 parties chose their presidents. Can you guess how many parties the New World has after 366 days ? 🙂 366 parties.

When the local elections were held for the first time, 181 mayors were chosen, one for every region. Starting this month, 520 regions will be represented in Congress by one or more citizens that will be elected on the 25th day of each month.
If you are one of the candidates, don't forget to call your friends.

The unemployment rate was such a big problem in the beginning that the president of the eUSA at that time, Korbin King, created the first bank in eRepublik on the 15th of December. It’s purpose was to support the economy by giving loans to the citizens that wanted to launch start-ups. Currently, about 6000 companies fight over human resources.

Fierce fights were also carried out between nations. For land resources, for different political views, for independence or just for fun, wars represent an important part of eHistory. There were never any recorded casualties, not even in the first New World War when 17 countries were involved, only wounded citizens. This is very strange because in the 10 independence wars alone there have been more than 75000 fights. War brought important changes to the geopolitical configuration since the dawn of eRepublik.

But not just the God of War visited the New World. Cupid also made his presence known and on 17th of March when his first two victims fell in e-love: Cristesco (now known as Cristi Badea) and Elena.Coman got married. Since then, the virus of love spread all over the New World.

Shortly after, on March 30th, a group of citizens returned to planet Earth for the first eRepublik meeting. It took place in Bucharest, Romania. Since then eRepublik meetings have spread all over the real world and the next one will be this Friday in a local pub in Bucharest where all the eRepublik team will be joining.

Let’s continue this journey together.

Happy birthday to all of you,
The eRepublik Team
