Life in Austronesia.

Day 335, 07:17 Published in Indonesia Indonesia by Raxo

I have been a citizen of Austronesia for 1 Month now. I have never been outside Austronesia and have always found life here difficult for so many reasons.
1. The Government
The Government of Indonesia for a large part simply ignores Australians. Not publishing statements in English. The Welcome Message not being given an English Translation just proves this will never change no matter how many times we ask to be treated as equals. We are constantly treated as second class citizens by our occupiers. Services that are othered to Indonesians are not offered to Australians. If they are we don't hear about them because they don't communicate with us. It's quite frankly tiring trying to live in a country that won't listen, won't change and certainly won't respect you.
2. Language Barrier
Every article an Australian writes is barrarged with comments in Bahasa Indonesia either ridiculing us or just being unpolite in general. Of course they are free to do so. I might just start speaking French in your articles/ Be about as useful wouldn't it?
3. Parties
All Parties every last one of them in the Top 5 has the same attitude to Australians. Translations for campaign pieces? Nah screw them Australians who needs those extra 50 or so votes anyway? Not us that's for sure. So really all hope of any Australian looking to intergrate into Indonesian Politics is shot down by all parties straight away.
So there you go basicly it all comes down to one thing: Language but this is such a problem it makes life in Austronesia extremely difficult. It is though but one of the reasons we want Independence. We Australians want a home. Right now most of us are in other countries intergrating into their societies but all not really feeling that we are home. Though we have made friends in places like the United Kingdom, USA, Canada and South Africa and we thank them for treating us with dignity and respect. Having our home back is the ulimate dream.
We will be a natiuon once again please join http://www.aussierepublik.com and join the community vying for Independence from Indonesian Occupation. Help us get our home back...
