Announcement of the ascension of the United Mexican States to the PEACE Global Community

Today, Sunday, September 28, 2008, the United Mexican States were admitted to the PEACE Global Community as a Member Nation by a vote of the Security Council.

The vote, which was 10 in favor, 0 against, and 5 abstaining, met the requirements of the Charter of the PEACE Global Community with two-thirds of the alliance voting in favor of admitting Mexico.

We are all pleased to welcome our newest allies in the Western Hemisphere.
