30 Proposals to change eThailand- TRP Presidential Campaign

Hello people, I'm here to make my Presidencial Campaign.
The Thailand Reform Party aims to the economic and social development of eThailand ensuring, first and foremost, the well-being of all our people.
We are digusted by all forms of imperialism.
We are digusted by all forms of economic exploitation.
Below please follow our general guidelines:
Economy
1. Companies will be strengthened and Government Companies will be created, if necessary, Public Private Partnerships to boost the creation of more companies.
1.5. I will make a page with all our financial operations.
This is possible, like the Brasil Government:

2. All Government Companies will be administered by a SO Account - which will have a representative government and an administrator who will be chosen by direct vote.
2.5. In the case of Public Private Partnerships, the administrator will be public, the private partner and representative government, all with the same say in time for decisions.
3. Our exchange rate is artificially controlled if there is need for better development, as has already been done by the current government. However, except rare exceptions (as in the case of a war), this will be planned and communicated to the population.
4. Companies from abroad are welcome to our economy, provided they do not hinder the development of our domestic market. Multinationals, depending on the case, will not be welcome.
5. There will be intervention in the economy when needed and strategic sectors in the government, to avoid damage to the country and the population.
Taxes
6. Given the current state of competition in prices, there will be a decrease in the rate of VAT (tax on consumption) in some sectors of our economy.
7. The Income Tax (tax on the profit) will be revised in accordance with the economic situation of the country and the industry, because it also harms the wages of workers.
8. There will be an increase in Import Tax on some markets that are dominated by companies from abroad.
Social
9. The program of financing homes (THAI HOUSING BANK) will be maintained and expanded to increase the number of participants. There will be some changes in the rules to prevent cases of default and partnerships can be made with private companies to increase the supply of money.
10. There will be the creation of 'Gifts for All' to broaden the participation of the people in our Army. This will be done after the Program of Military Enlistment (see more below)
11. There will be the creation of a 'Government School', a blog dedicated to answering questions from our people on many different issues and to talk about the main tips of the game. It will be done as a step-by-step instructions for all beginners follow.
12. ALL of the people (actives) will have jobs. To do this we the government will create a "Ministry of Employment ' a medium suitable for companies to announce their vacancies and the unemployed to announce their needs.
13.There will be a 'Minimum Wage'defined for the different sectors of the market. Companies that defy this rule will be nationalized by the government and its owners reported to the administration of the game.
14. The formation of monopolies and oligopolies are prohibited , without sacrificing strategic sectors of the state.
Military
15. We will create the 'Program for Military Enlistment. " With the arrival of the V1, there will be no more government district, then it is for 'Commissions of Enlistment "the work of census for each region of the country.
16. After that there will be a registering of all soldiers (in a specific newspaper)
17. The 'Minister of War' will be responsible for defining 'Brigades' (one for each region of the country) and a head commander for each one.
18. The training will be driven daily with the creation of the 'Gifts for All'.
19. The soldiers may have additional benefits in companies of the government, Example: financing of homes. Since anyone can be a soldier, this will serve only to further boost our military power and protect us - not to favor one class over another.
20. We will create a 'Police' - to investigate cases of corruption and use of fakes in business. We will make a discussion with the population and make a vote poll to decide the policians. In principle, 5 people.
21. Now that we have a satisfactory number of Hospitals in our country, but our goal is that each region has one Hospital Q3. To do so more partnerships with foreign companie will be made(in the hospital sector)
International
22. There will be a discussion between the two world peacekeeping sides - PEACE and Atlantis - and we will choose one side for the position. This will strengthen our ties with stronger countries and ensure our independence in front external threats.
23. We will make ties of friendship with our neighbors. Trade and peace treaties.
24. There will be a continuity with the 'ALLIANCE OF SMALL COUNTRIES OF EREPUBLIK'.
Government
25. Currently there are 4 ministers will be creating new ministries and public commissions.
- A Minister is chosen by the President.
- A Public Commission is open to any person to be involved.
26. The post of 'Minister of Labor' will be replaced by 'Ministry of Employment,' which will be formed by one or more people and be responsible for the employment of all inhabitants of our nation.
27. The post of 'Ministry of Foreign Affairs' will be replaced by the' Commission of International Affairs, 'where all the people who so wish may participate in discussions. The President of the Republic will choose a president for this Commission.
28. The post of 'Minister of Defense' will be replaced by 'Minister of War' which will organize the 'Brigades of soldiers' and the 'secret police', which will act as a Public Commission, but for a limited number of people.
29. The post of 'Ministry of Welfare and Social Action' will be replaced by the 'Government School' - which will be chosen by the president; the 'Minister of Social Programs' - that will take care of the' Gifts for All 'and the others who come and, by 'Administrator of Thai Housing Bank' - which will be chosen by the President to administer the bank.
30. There will be the creation of a 'Minister of Communication', which will be responsible for all the communication of the Federal Government with its inhabitants.
I will Fight always bearing in mind the progress of our e-nation.
And it is in this spirit that I set forth this program of government.

There are some good points and some not so good points.
The \"secret police\" is hardly necessary and a wasteful use of govt resources.
The \"government school\" is also wasteful. That\'s what eRepublik wiki is for. Im all for helping new citizens but a govt agenda on the subject is a waste of resources.
The \"Thai Housing Bank\" can easily be financed by a national lottery without dipping into existing treasury funds. I funded housing in the region of Salem as a mayor using a lottery, so there\'s no reason why we cant implement the same plan here on a national level.
Im fine with a minimum wage, as long as it is discussed by the government AND business owners.
Look, the secret police is to prevent the use of fakes and government corruption. Many companies, in Thailand or not, use fake accounts, we have to stop that. And it will NOT cost anythink for the government.
The government scholl is not a waste. Many people don\'t know how the game works, and unnecessarily buy weapons, buy expensive food, receiving very low wages, even if there is a wiki.
A wiki is something impersonal, my goal is to give more attention to that kind of player and help him.
Yes, it\'s a good proposal Jack, I agree with you. I will seek to create several ways to not use government money without need. The current lottery of the TRP is a test for this type of program.
Yes, we will discuss a REAL minimum wage. I will not imput an unreal tax and
harming businesses.

Jack, the 2nd post was my translation, cuz emailing the translation wasnt workin so I had to resort to posting it here, i will delete that post instantly, and the school is more for our citizens, i dont know if you know Jack but the Wiki is only in english, but in our country not every1 speaks english, so d blog could be a way that we could post tips in many languages and etc
I don\'t know that 13 is enforceable, beyond organized boycotting. If we want to go that route, it should be good so long as we have inclusive debate with all stakeholders to set the wage levels.
I\'d like some clarification on point 20. What sort of action will they be undertaking? Can they, given the available interface, make any meaningful investigations?

@Ealb, my view on 13 is that, d wage can only be set after a discussion between d owners of all companies, cuz that would be d smart thing 2 do

Ealb, my proposal is to create a REAL minimum wage. Companies will continue taking profits.
If we do not reach an agreement, we will notice to all citizens of our country the wages of State Companies. No worker will prefer to earn less in a private company. Do you agree? Then, in all cases we have the situation under control.
About the point 20, the goal is it, make investigations.
The administrator can\'t control this kind of problem alone, so it\'s our responsability. But for any kind of coercion will be needed a real evidence, because the only one who will do any kind of coercion is the administrator of the game - the perfect neutral judge.

This secret police reeks of something like a gestapo or SS. Who is to decide who gets investigated and how would they even know if its a fake/duplicate account? You dont have access to players IPs so there is no way for you to know really.
What\'s to stop you from deciding you feel someone is a threat to your political power and you simply reporting them to an admin and saying you had your \"secret police\" investigate them and they say this person is using fakes?
Sorry, I like my government to have complete transparency.
Regarding your \"school\" so basically you\'re going to have someone write an article each day or week explaining how the game works?
Why not simply create a forum for Thailand that will hold a FAQ section in a few different languages instead of cluttering up the media section? That way people will have a constant reference they can go to at anytime without waiting to read an article from this \"school\"?
Also when I say waste of resources, I mean peoples\' time. Id much rather have people involved in things like I suggested in my article a couple down from here. (Such as recruiting new players to Thailand, organizing our military, creating Thai businesses, and such)
All these points you make are moot if we cant get more citizens for Thailand, not only to strengthen our workforce, but also our capacity for defending our borders from foreign aggressors.

Please, don\'t say stupid nazi-things. You\'re very intelligent and you know what secret police means. I didn\'t liked the idea. I thought that the police could be formed by anyone, he/she just have to investigate about someone suspect, see donations, companies and etc.
Um...Gestapo is a secret police. They also had a \"secret police in the USSR back in the day. When you hear \"secret police\" you think of citizens being pulled off the streets and interrogated.
It has nothing to do with Nazis so to speak, those were simply the first two former secret police that came to mind. And they both happened to be a bad thing.
If you want to have an investigative organization, fine, but it should be no means be secret. It should be completely transparent for all to see so it too does not become corrupted.
@Rody Of course I spent time achieving my goals in Salem. My goals were for the benefit and wellness of my citizens and provided immediate benefits.
Issues like the \"secret police\" and \"schools\" are marginably important when the top priorities in Thailand is poplulation growth, creating a steady economic market, strengthening our domestic businesses, and building a defensive military.
We dont need a 30 point plan...we need those 4 steps I listed above to be a priority and all resources and time given to making sure they succeed. Without those firmly in place, all this other stuff is simply fluff and waste.

I agree in part with you. It doesn\'t need to be TOP SECRET. But it shouldn\'t be like \"We\'re investigating you, be careful\". This secret police could be formed by anyone, just with the aim of investigate and report to the admins.
Uhh 4 steps wont never lead to a good nation...30 points r good...Secret Police is more like a catchy name..but d intention r clean as Cavalcanti has said before
and TRP does plan to help thai, once we stabilize our country with the things u said Jack--economy...domestic business...military..then we can offer the extra things as a way to say Thanks to our people

Reading comprehension is a good thing. I said the 4 steps I listed should be the priority with all resources and time given to make sure they succeed. I never said those would be the only steps taken. Its not about the quantity of talking points Prestes puts forth, its about the quality of the talking points he puts forth.
And that is exactly what he is going to do, like I said before, those 4 things come first, once we get stabilized then we can offer the incentives to our citizens

Empty in what sense? Can you cite specific points that are vapid talking points? Explain how they\'re infeasible? Criticism is good, but it\'s useless if it\'s as empty as what you provide here.
I\'ll weigh in against the \"secret police\" as well. The name is bad, in that it evokes abuse of power and opaque governance... and frankly I\'d prefer to avoid even hinting at the possibility of having politically motivated witch hunts... which making an organization with these aims accountable to an elected government will be unable to avoid. I think it would be better, both in terms of transparency and resource allocation, to have ad hoc private reporting of suspicious behavior to the admins. This needn\'t, and frankly probably shouldn\'t, be a government function given the eRepublik system.

and about secret police, if you look into the game code, it is impossible to track users, since we cant track their ips, and the admins are horrible in this game they take forever to take actions, what we can do is report fakers and pray that d admin will listen

I respectfully disagree with the notion that we need a strong baht at the moment. Those who gain the most from a strong baht are foreign entrepreneurs. We need government management, but to devalue the baht, not bolster it. All things being equal, a weaker baht means less incentive for foreign exploitation of our markets, and more buying power for would-be immigrants. Barring a crash in prices and wages, a still-stronger baht will mean that new citizens bringing in gold will get fewer and fewer necessities for said gold... which can only serve to discourage immigration.
I\'ll admit a weaker baht will make it harder for those speculators amongst our citizens with vast piles of THB laying about to fleece newcomers and turn their overvalued baht into scads of hard currency... but is that a bad thing, when their enrichment requires the stunting of our nation\'s industrial and social development?
(And yes, I\'m keenly aware that I sound like a broken record. Fix the economy, and the record will fix itself 😉

I can see your point, but I believe that if we have a weak currency, the government will need a form of communism. We currently don\'t have much Gold, so when we do have a strong currency, other markets will sell here, and the money they gain will need to be exchanged to Gold. If too many markets export here, it\'s not hard to change the exchange rate.
I think the main thing we need at the moment is a good income of Gold, via exports/imports and the exchange market. Once we have enough, we can control the value of THB a lot easier.

Regarding the treasury not having much, the government should be printing more money and selling it on the exchange for gold. We\'ll see a dip in the value of the baht and yet strengthen our treasury with stockpiling gold.
Im not advocating running 100k baht, but runs of 10k and 20k and then turning around and then selling them on the exchange for a relatively low amount for gold will help our situation tremendously.

I think it would help those of us who are discussing the points here, to actually see these points listed out in how you would rank them in terms of priority.
Granted Ealb, myself and others have given you a bit of a leg up by voicing repeatedly what our concerns are and those concerns most likely reflect those of the average citizen...but I would still like to see how you plan to tackle these issues and the fashion you will do it.
Unfortunately I wont be able to run for office this month as I need to take over a party first, so I apologize if I come across as aggressive. Im just really excited by the opportunities we have here to build Thailand virtually from the ground up and dont want to see those opportunites squandered friviously.

Indeed, Gold will be a lot more useful in V1. Currently there is a lot of THB floating about, which the government burns, we could easily sell this instead of printing more.

Oh Im definitely taking it over. Especially seeing as how the current party president hasnt logged on to respond to my messages or corrected the party platform page since eRepublik was hacked. I dont need fakes to win that party...the last president won with two votes and Im currently the only candidate. Why fake? I feel if I cant convey my message across to the voters and have them comprehend them...I dont deserve the job.
TRP and TNT are simply too big and the power players are firmly established there for me to join either party and have a chance at running in elections. I just hope when the time comes, people here wont simply vote party lines as they used to do in the US to tragic results, and instead listen to the arguments and points of the candidates and choose who is best suited for the job.

No, I came to eThailand to help build a country from the ground up. I was also tired of the political corruption within eUSA\'s system.
Obviously being president of a country allows you the greatest opportunity to make changes and influence a country\'s direction. Nothing I said in my above comment is not true, you\'re simply attempting to attack me because you possibly see me as a future threat to your \"beloved\" party president\'s future.
I didnt make the TRR party inactive. The last president did win by only 2 votes. I am currently the only person running, though feel free to join the TRR and run against me. Id welcome a little healthy competition. Again, Im simply speaking open and honestly...something lacks is sorely lacking in most politicians who will only tell you what you want to hear rather than how things truly are.
Also, I dont see how being a president is a \"glorious\" job here. Its relatively thankless and requires a lot more hours of gameplay and dedication. Im not desperate enough IRL to believe that becoming President of eThailand would be something I can add to my work resume. 😉
TRP, though reasonably large, was the size of TRR at the start of the month. It was largely in the run-up to party elections that it swelled up to its current size. While I expect we\'ll vote party-line in the next generals, come party elections all bets are off - our current party president technically lost the last party election, so we\'re hardly seeing TRP leadership blithely dictating orders to the masses. He\'s having to prove himself worthy of our support, which why you\'re seeing more back-and-forth here than in, e.g., a typical TNT thread.
Still, I agree there is a more than a little entitlement on display in the eThailand political establishment, and it is almost certainly easier to build up a small party than try to win leadership in one of the larger ones.

Also: I think the \"secret police\" issue will largely be irrelevant come v1. The experience system will make it prohibitively expensive to make sockpuppet accounts.

Jack, I dont think so...cuz if there was, im pretty sure there would be posts in Thai only and people showing resistance agaisnt us, but with v1 bolstering Thai, i beleive that real Thai people will come here, and if they start a revolution..wat r we gonna do....cuz it is their country anyway
