5 things any new citizen should do (learn from mistakes of others)

Day 1,870, 05:49 Published in Ireland Ireland by asecondchance

This game has a lot going on with different modules and often new citizens want to jump right in and start fighting or buying businesses to start to enjoy all of the modules I know because I made this mistake when I started. If you ask anyone who has been playing for more than 3 months they will all tell you the same thing, if I could start over I would…

1. Not fight for 3 months (or longer). When you fight you get experience, when you get experience you are moved up in ranks. When you are moved up in ranks too soon it is much harder to get BH medals and while you are fighting you are not as effective in your division because your strength is low. If Ireland is involved in a war and you are dying to test out the war module, go for it but don’t waste your fights completing the DO each day and for the first 3 months only fight if Ireland is attacking or being attacked.

2. Build Strength. Use your first three months and focus on upgrading your training facilities and train, train, train. Build your strength. You should set a goal of getting to 3,000 strength before leaving D1 which is level 25. Early on you level really quickly and if you just start fighting you will be level 22 before you know it. Take it slow and focus on building strength.

3. Focus on your food. Don’t worry about building businesses. At this point besides strength training, spend your gold to focus on being self-sufficient with your food supply. You can get weapons from Irish BootCamp or the Irish Army so you are supplied when you get started but what you need to focus on in your first three months is owning food companies to supply you with at least 500 to 1,000 energy daily so that you can maintain your own health and get your weapons from other sources like joining a MU.

4. Save Energy Bars – nothing early on is worth using your energy bars. Save them so after your 3 months are up and you are ready to start earning Battle Hero (BH) medals in your division you have them available to use.

5. Get a newspaper – One of the issues with the first three months is that it is tough to stay interested in the game if you are not fighting or building wealth. My recommendation is get a newspaper and build an audience during your first three months. Get to know your fellow citizens and join the community to keep you interested and active!

These are just things I would have done differently and would recommend for new citizens joining our eNation. Everyone does things a little differently or have different regrets, so please share and shout to our new citizens so they get the most from our little eWorld!
