This month's elections could be on the of the most important elections we'll have this year. It's Rangeley versus Djani Ujkan Marich, the latter being a PTO - although he claims otherwise despite large amounts of evidence on him.

Today Rangeley has answered some questions about what his term as president will be like and what may be changed during it.

This is the interview with Rangeley, a former president of Austria and candidate president for the May 2010 elections:

What will be your primary focus as potential president for next month?
One of my primary focuses would be to re-invigorate the Austrian mobile forces with a focused mission - standing up for national sovereignty around the world. Austria has a history of fighting for the invaded, against invaders, and a return to a more active role around these ends would be beneficial.

What will you change or introduce about healthcare in Austria?
The healthcare equation has changed significantly now that hospitals can only give back (at most) the wellness lost in fighting. There is a greater need for the Austrian Red Cross to provide wellness to the needy, as such. For this reason, I would like the Austrian Red Cross to be more visible, and to utilize the Austrian Mentor Program more frequently to direct people towards this government service.

How do you propose that you grow the treasury in the upcoming month?
The Ministry of Finance has done a great job growing the treasury to new levels, and playing an active role in the monetary market is key to this. With the change in hospitals, and a more active use of foreign deployments, costs will undoubtedly rise - but I would be sure that this increase is consistent with what we have in the treasury, and does not overreach our capacity.

What would you change about the economy of eAustria? (i.e. Taxes, Treasury)
In the past several months, there has been a focus on increasing the amount of exporting Austrian companies do. While the declining value of the ATS can cause headaches, it actually benefits Austria in the realm of exporting into the international market. I would like to continue that focus - and also expand upon the plans for division of power with regards to the treasury. We should set up firewalls to make it difficult for any one person to run off with the entire treasury, as happened in March.

What are your policies on immigration to eAustria?
The most important "immigration" Austria can have is not from in game, but instead by reaching out to real life Austrians. This is an under-represented group which can make a huge difference in defeating the takeover forces. For in game immigration, everyone must be very careful and use what citizenship approvals they have (if they use them at all) only on people you can trust.

What foreign policy will Austria take under your administration?
We need to be active and engaged in the role we play internationally, standing up for our values, our friends, and ultimately, for Austria. We should never forget the need to act with honor, and that means helping those who helped us. Whether its shedding light on injustices, or more active steps such as foreign deployment, we have this responsibility.

How would you encourage people to come to Austria as people looking for a new life in a new eCountry?
The fact that certain forces are seeking to undermine Austria's independence, and viability as its own nation, should be a great drive for real Austrians to join this game and help Austria out. This is a great land of opportunity, and for all the events that have happened so far, most of Austria's history lays unwritten - waiting for the next person to grab the pen.

If at all, would you change the way the country is ran or would you change the way the ministries are ran?
Communication between ministries can be improved, so that all areas of government are up to date and in touch with what other areas are doing. But more importantly, communication with the Austrian people themselves can be improved - with a greater emphasis on communication and transparency.

Thank you for participating in this interview and good luck for Wednesday!

Also, here is Rangeley's cabinet for May 2010:

The Austrian Schilling recently has dropped to more normal levels after peaking last month to over 1 Gold is equal to over 200 schillings. On Saturday, the schilling was at 1 gold is equal to 120 schillings meaning it has certainly improved over the weekend. It is almost certain that economic recovery will take longer than it takes for a currency to collapse but it would certainly appear that we are on the right road.

It is currently at 1 gold equals 77.34 schillings however the best offer for us on the market is 1 gold is 85 schillings which is almost the same as last week.

Yesterday, the best offer available on the market went up by almost 15 Schillings above the best offer today which means that the market is still quite turbulent but less than it was last month.
