3 Miles Up, 3 Miles Down

Day 1,625, 15:08 Published in USA USA by Chicago Machine

In World War II, prior to D-Day, the men of Easy Company were trained and conditioned at Camp Toombs in Georgia. Currahee Mountain towered over 1,000 feet above the main camp. The would-be paratroopers made frequent runs to the top of the mountain to condition themselves for the grueling physical nature of war in Europe. It was said that the training runs were "3 Miles Up, 3 Miles Down." The men of Easy Company adopted the mountain's name as their battle cry when dropping into harm's way. Fittingly, "Currahee" is translated from the Cherokee as "Stands Alone."

As of this month, in this game, the men and women of EZC "stand alone." EZC has refused to give up it's independence to the OMS to become a Division of the USAF. In doing so, EZC gave up on a large funding stream. The pundits declared this an act of suicide for EZC. They called EZC's Commander, Gnilraps, crazy. They said it would only be a matter of time until EZC gave into the demands of the USAF leadership and marched in lockstep with the 2-Clicking masses. How is EZC responding?

EZC has responded by blowing the other military units out in kills. EZC is consistently ranking second in kills among all eUS military units despite being grossly outnumbered in soldiers. Regular rank and file EZC soldiers are racking up 50 - 100 kills daily. They are doing this in record numbers because they are well-supplied and they spur each other on. They provide comraderie, they help the young players along, and most of all they provide competition. EZC is not filled with 2-Clickers. EZC members care for one another, and they make each other better soldiers.

Just like in 1943, a war is brewing in Europe. It is only a matter of time before the evil forces of ONE, led by Serbia and Poland regain their footing and try once again to wipe out the freedom-loving countries of Terra and Eden.

Take this time to train! Take this time to rank up. Take this time to build your strength. Because when the war comes back to our doorstep, the men and women of EZC will be instrumental in pushing them back.

CURRAHEE!
