[Re-post] More regions for Uruguay

Day 3,717, 04:15 Published in Netherlands Poland by Shawtyl0w

Dear readers,

This is a re-port from an article created in eUruguay. They complain about the limited game experience due to having one region. We in the Ntherlands are blessed with 4 regions. imagine having one region not being able to have a training war or things like this. I believe they make a fair point and every country should have a minimum number of regions(maybe 3)

Anyway, please read the article below!

How you see Uruguay right now..... One Region!

[ENG]

Dear admins and citizens;
We talk to you eUruguayo2, President of eUruguay and Leandro4226., uruguayan actually resident in eArgentina and ex-President of eUruguay. We’ve been here long enough to notice that here in eUruguay we've an intrinsic problem that you could easily solve. eUruguay's population is stuck, but not because it is
not possible to increase it; it is due the possibilities that the current geographical map give to us. Many times we've been involved in Baby Booms initiatives to bring real uruguayans into the game. All those initiatives are likely to succeed in a short-term point of view, but at medium-term or long-term vision, it is difficult to maintain new users at the game in eUruguay. As you perfectly know, the real game is war, and in an only-one-region country is almost impossible to develop the most attractive part of the game. Something
that is very common and a very practical way to have wars, are the training wars by air attack, and with a single region is totally unfeasible. More players mean more activity, and what produces the exodus or abandonment of old players (another big problem in Uruguay) is mainly the inactivity in the country. Perhaps you already know, but there're some interesting facts of real life Uruguay country which make it a good opportunity in terms of online gaming business, proof of this is that we are buying many packs. Literacy rate is almost 97%, grid connected households are about 98% and life expectancy is about 75 years. Moreover, Internet access has a deep impact at the homes because of different past and present government policies. Firstly, the One Laptop Per Child program was applied and finished for school age children. Uruguay was the first country in the world to meet the goal of full countrywide laptop access coverage of school age children and teachers.
Almost every home in Uruguay has at least one laptop and internet access (which means about 80% of the population, and 97% of the high class). Secondly, Uruguay has Fiber to the Home technologies in all the country. Thirdly, it is evaluated that; 90% of the household have internet access for their own (without considering government’s plans), internet impact in society (people who consider themselves as internet users) is about 60% in general but is about 85% for the 18-29 age interval. If you see this number in the 12-19 age interval, the percentage rises to 95% which gives an interesting future perspective. 30% of the population with internet access has bought something through the internet in the last two years. Finally, the government is taking every possible step towards an information society in which internet access is seen as a prior, and also, the software and audiovisual industries are growing as a contributors to the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) of the country. Uruguay has a GDP per capita of 13.000USD. Just for example, you may see that in terms of GDP per capita Uruguay is placed above Brasil (10.500USD) and China (7.000USD). We know it is difficult, but if we only could bring to play 1% of the population with the appropriate age to play eRepublik and with internet access, we guess that easily we could surpass 1500 real users. We're just asking for the tools to try, and both users and admins/game-owners, will be benefit from it. If you see the map of Uruguay, you will notice that the country is naturally divided into two regions, one north of the Rio Negro and one south of it. The most appropriate way to divide the country would be into three regions calle😛 "Montevideo" (capital city), "South Charrúa" (with Salto as capital) and "North Charrúa" (with Florida as capital). The southern part of the country is mainly agricultural-livestock, but in the northern part there are some mineral resources. In Montevideo you can place whatever. We assume that it is not a great modification in the dynamics of the game and nobody is going to be against this (or feel offended). It is widely accepted throughout the eWorld that a single region for Uruguay is an injustice.

Compare eUruguay with other countries in relation to the number of active citizens-number of original
regions (the data on the number of active citizens corresponds to day 3707).

Uruguay:
-1 region
-175 active citizens
-1 region for every 175 citizens

-1 region for every 8.3 citizens
South Africa:

-1 region for every 12.1 citizens
Switzerlan😛

Rankings countries
We can see that Uruguay is located at number 32 (Day 3707), ahead of 42 countries, which all except
Singapore, Cyprus and Paraguay (which have 1, 2 and 2 regions respectively) have at least 3 original
regions, in many cases 4, 5, and more.
We hope this article encourages you to take some actions in this way, and give us more regions to start
playing well and have the tools to develop the game here in Uruguay, with more real users.
Uruguay has the right to have more regions.
