Enemy of my enemy...

Day 3,183, 05:17 Published in Romania Romania by Raul Doru

Hello dear readers. Today I would like to talk a bit about a hot subject of this summer: the system of alliances and the foreign relations of the eWorld.

As you all know, the main (and highly praised by some) struggle of nowadays is between the main alliances, Adriatica and Syndicate versus Asteria and Orion, with Pacifica divided and with some internal issues (mainly in the relations between USA and Russia). In the same time, an important role (as I already told you in my previous articles) have had some non-aligned countries, like Bulgaria, Republic of Macedonia (FYROM) and Spain, whom have became the trigger factor of the recent wars and developments of current foreign relations.

I don't want to repeat the recent wars but as you all can see today Adriatica alliance is in a pretty bad condition. Don Croata explained in an article the reasons for this situation, as you can see here:

https://www.erepublik.com/en/article/-dc-on-adriatica-2608563/1/20

Now, even if many of his conclusions are true, the article has more of a general approach. And talking about what "members" did and what they should do in the future, could be quite offensive for some, because the problems were caused by only one country. And even if he's right overall, Don Croata still avoid to point out the biggest problems of Adriatica, on internal and external level:
- accepting Chile as a member;
- proclaiming the brotherhood with Syndicate, when, in fact, this relation is based only on Croatia - Greece good cooperation.

In Adriatica, Chile was the only one behaving as Don Croata has described. They did their own policy and had pursued their own goals. Everything started when they launched a useless and unprovoked campaign against Peru who, even if it had a very, very short success, it had huge costs in damage and money, from apart of their fellow members of Adriatica. With their resources almost depleted at that time, Croatia and Georgia were an easy pray for Asteria (by the way, without receiving any help from Chile).
But Chile's biggest mistake, under the worst leadership of Yosemite Sam01, was to launch an internal campaign of denigrating their biggest ally and friend, Bulgaria. Accusing Bulgaria of treachery, when you were the first (as Adriatica members) to choose Syndicate (enemies of Bulgaria, Republic of Macedonia and Spain) over you oldest friends, seems childish (not to use a harsh word). And just to be clear: you can not be an enemy of Bulgaria and a friend of Republic of Macedonia. The bonds between BG and MKD are hard to break.
And recently Chile did another stupid move. After spending money to open RWs in Asteria's provinces, insisted in launching an useless AS on Montenegro, when was clear for everyone that this attack was doomed to fail even before it has begun. Calling for help in an already lost battle, Adriatica lost a (even little) chance to liberate a region of Georgia, during the night attack.

Now, the brotherhood with Syndicate is another dysfunctional relation for Adriatica. It's funny how today some of those alliances members are saying that this relation has gaps because X or Y countries are not members of A or S alliance. It's not so long time ago when the game was flooded with articles about the birth of Syndicate and the Adriatica/Syndicate total domination. But seeing Argentina fighting for Peru against Chile and Chile fighting for Republic of Macedonia against Argentina says all about the brotherhood.

On the other hand, almost all of Adriatica members had good (some even very good) relations with Bulgaria, Republic of Macedonia (FYROM) and Spain. Then, Croatia decided to ally with Syndicate (Greece, Turkey and Argentina), basically almost all the main enemies of those 3 non-aligned countries. Even more, not to upset Syndicate (in war with BG, MKD, SP), Croatia asked all Adriatica members to drop the MPPs with Bulgaria, Republic of Macedonia and Spain. And they did it...

But... enemy of my enemy... BG, MKD and SP signed MPPs with Asteria and they received military help in their hardest battles. Now it's funny how many voices (especially from Chile) are accusing Bulgaria, Republic of Macedonia and Spain of being pro-Asteria. Well, I don't know about that, but because some (see Chile) believes that an MPP means doing what you want and only demanding for help when in trouble, I would like to point out that those pacts are both ways. You give and receive help. Bulgaria, Republic of Macedonia and Spain received Asteria's military help so it seems quite natural for them to return the favour, if needed, in Asteria's battles. If this means being pro-X and no just honouring your MPP agreement, so be it...

In the end, apart from the conclusions of Don Croata, I would like to point out the following:
- Adriatica HQ will keep doing the same mistakes if they will judge all members for Chile's behaviour. You already have a signal in this regard from Thailand;
- Adriatica's (or better Croatia's) policy alone, not Asteria nor Syndicate, forced Bulgaria, Republic of Macedonia and Spain to sign MPPs with Asteria member states;
- even if in Adriatica's chart is stipulated that "all member states are equal once they are accepted", even for the outsiders is clear that some members (Croatia in one direction and Chile in the opposite) are more equal than the others;
- the famous "A + S" does not exist. Simply as that!
- Adriatica should cut zdlemmy's holiday and force him back, together with Colin's money. Or you should just buy one Bogi or CornelB for yourselves...
🙂

Remember, stay informed and fight hard!
