[MoEd] Questionnaire Response Review

Day 3,067, 11:10 Published in United Kingdom United Kingdom by Department for Education

Hello and welcome to another article by your Ministry of Education, but this time we won't be doing a guide. Some of you may remember the recent questionnaire we asked to be filled out, and we got 20 responses overall. In this article we will be posting the findings for all to look at, so hopefully you find it interesting and enjoy!

Rate Each Government Ministry Over The Past Month
(1 being worst, 3 being average, 5 being best)

Overall, 3 of the areas of government performed below average last term according to the citizens of the eUK; the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Country President. The Ministry of Defence had an average term, while the Ministry of Finance was the only ministry to get an overall positive rating from the citizens with a 3.85 rating. Each ministry was given ratings which correlate well with the mean average.

A majority of the areas of government actually saw the mode average as 3, meaning the most common rating for those areas was "average". These were the Ministry of Defence, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Country President (where a rating of 1 tied with a rating of 3 - which had to be displayed as 2 on the graph for graphical reasons). Again, Finance was the only ministry which managed to break over the “average” barrier.

Please Explain Your Given Ratings
Why did you give each ministry the rating you did? This will help the government keep up good work in the good areas, while improve in the bad areas.

The reasonings for the ratings was the question which saw citizens give the largest answers. All suggestions and criticisms have been passed onto the government and individual ministries, but a few will be quoted below. If you do not see your answer below, it has been passed onto the government so will not be ignored.

The comments on the Ministry of Defence were generally good, some complained of it being "Meh-ish" or average, but the MoD was praised for making the best out of a bad situation and "pushing new ideas like national strikes". One of the interesting comments on the MoD was "Ministry of Defense put up co's when needed and did their jobs well although it fell apart a bit with the resignations", which you can take from it what you want.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs received some of the least positive feedback, with the main criticism being a lack of visibility. This was similar to the Ministry of Education where people similarly pointed out its lack of media activity, when it is meant to be one of the most media active ministries. All comments on these two ministries were similar to "MoFA was, in my mind, the least visible" and "absent moed". The greatest comment of the whole questionnaire goes to "MoEd I didn't see anything from although maybe that's cause I went to cornwall to get smashed for a week". No prizes for guessing who that was. One comment did suggest it was not all the MoFAs fault though; "MoD and MoFA were not told much because the CP had no plans to pass down".

The Ministry of Finance did not get many comments, despite having the highest rating - probably as citizens did not feel like they had anything to complain about. All comments on the MoF were similar to "Huey was great as always" and "Huey's always a lad".

The Country President had many mixed reviews of her term. Some praised the CP for their efforts and put blame on non-government people with comments such as "Rathena did a sterling job despite a hostile Congress" while others criticised the CP for lack of visibility with comments such as "Whatever happens during a CP's term, whether it's fighting out of a wipe, living through a wipe or even conquering Scandinavia, the President HAS to make sure they are a visible, informative but most importantly, entertaining, entity. I feel the CP, albeit under a fair amount of pressure, failed to live up to this". There were then just some outside-different comments like "CP was too insistent on having a referendum/discussion on everything ever" which we can presume is a criticism.

Some comments were confusing as I could not tell which ministry they were referring to, and I can only presume comments like "Pretty Decent" and "Usually crap" were referring to the government overall. A couple of respondents said they simply based their ratings on the quality of communication the public received which is a fair comment, and would explain some of the ratings.

Are You In Support Of A National MU?
MU stands for Military Unit (like Royal Navy, Legion, Free British Irregulars, etc.), and a national MU would be one MU for all of the citizens of the eUK.

60% of the respondents said they would join a national MU, with a further 5% being in favour (but not wanting to join) and 30% still unsure about whether they would join. If it can be said the reflect the current mood of the eUK the government will be pleased as they are in support of a national MU, but still have some convincing to do to the public. Some details on a national MU have been released and we can expect more in the near future, so it would be interesting to see how the opinion on the public changes over time.

So they are the main findings from the government questionnaire. Information has been passed onto the government so they can take on board your feedback. We hope you found these results interesting. There is still more to come from this MoEd!
