A Democratic Presidential Race

Day 2,965, 11:35 Published in Ireland Ireland by Cat Boyd

Hello eIrish friends! I come to you with urgent news. It has been my observation that there is only one Country President candidate besides me running, what does that make me; the opposition. I think opposition is a healthy requirement for any democracy and although tempting it is to endorse Elite C, who has proven himself many times before, I cannot simply let this be a one-candidate race. Please listen to my ideas and I will be concise.
🙂

If elected I will try to introduce more community games as well as find options outside the game so we can all interact together. The new year is 2016 and let this year be one of eIrish unity, not division and in-fighting, as it has been for years!

Another initiative would be to nationalize the eIrish University - thus making it an official institution within our national government! In the University we can hold debates, share research, and create a dialogue between government and private citizens. We can also perhaps get a dedicated segment of University happenings/debates/topics on the weekly Community articles! Don't forget to check out the University!

Lastly, I would like to revive the Great Democratic Experiment that revolutionary leader MikeBane once attempted years ago! From what I've read and studied about the experiment is that it goes essentially like this: There is one Executive Committee Member (the "Country President") and 4 other Committee Members. To reduce bureaucracy I'm suggesting we cut that down to 2 other Committee Members from the top 3 political parties. Assuming the Executive Committee Member is from a top 3 party, that means the other 2 would be the 2nd & 3rd largest/most influential parties. Although in the future figuring out an efficient proportional representation system within the Committee would be ideal for the maximization of democracy, that is a task we will pursue in later months.

Vote for me as Country President - for democracy and equality, let's kick off 2016 with a healthy dose of Banism!

Banism is a new force in politics, one that will reshape the eIrish political arena. You can become a Banist too! Click on the link to join The Revolutionary Banist Party! Join the REVOLUTION!
