Whales, Bad Jokes, and Obligatory References

Day 2,537, 05:23 Published in USA USA by Cubby

I know a whale joke. Its a real killer.

Whales are marine mammals and as such they breathe air. Often diving beneath the surface for quite some time, they always resurface.

How do you circumcise a whale?
You send down four-skin divers.

Oblige is a whale. He simply must resurface. It’s been far too long for him to go without being in power in the eUS. He’s only been PotUS like six times? So we all know he has true knowledge of what it takes to run this country. The question on your mind is possible whether he will run it well or run it into the ground.

Son: 'Dad, why is the sea salty?'
Father: 'Son, when a male blue whale mates, it releases over 40,000 gallons of sperm. Only 30% of this reaches the female and you ask me the why the sea is salty...'

I’m no whale. Now, I may be “elite” in my own right merely through years spent in this game or my position as CO of Seal Team 6, but I’ve just played this game and hoarded all I could to make ends meet for me and the MU I lead. I find myself at odds occasionally with those in power—to be expected with the private MU interests that I represent. A couple of years ago I found myself on “opposite sides” of Oblige, as he led the Special Forces. In the eUS, that was ST6’s greatest rivalry—a relatively healthy one. Yet while we were on opposite sides of that rivalry, Oblige knew all-too-well what it took to keep things running, and at the same time he knew who held the purse-strings and the implications of his political relationships. I grew to respect Oblige for his wisdom in these regards.

What do whales like to chew?
Blubber gum!

If you are reading this article, you are likely one of the few truly active players left in the eUS. We all know the state of eRepublik and the sometimes precarious position of the eUS politically. As a champion of player recruitment in eRep, Oblige carries a critical credential into the office of PotUS. He represents the players that want to see activity increased, Plato to be better informed, and the game to survive. Survival of the game ultimately is more important than survival of an eNation, yet with Oblige leading us, it is possible to see both succeed, at least for a few more months.

What time is it when a whale runs into your boat?
Time to get a new boat.

Oblige is a true player of this game. He does not give up. There is a time for fresh faces, and there is a time for experience and wisdom. I believe that now is the time for another term for Oblige. I hope you will join me in supporting him in November.

Do you like whales?
Cause we can go hump back at my place.
