Guerrilla Challenge Superstars - THE TEAMS

What an awesome display of guerrilla forces was display Thursday night on Clopoyaur TV where the best fighters from Bulgaria, Hungary, Poland and Romania met in the biggest tournament ever organized in eRepublik. The goal: to be the Superstar of the World in Guerrilla.



At 11.30 eRep time, as schedule, team have gathered around made their final preparations while their national anthems were played in their honor. In the crowd everybody was excited to see an amazing battle.

The team captains established the tactics and prepared everyone for battle. The registration phase was just a formality and when the competition begin, the crowd from the chat went crazy.

Vadisz, from the Bulgarian team drew the first blood of the night scoring the first points denying Poland a good start:



He was shortly followed by his captain, Elijah Abott, with another Polish victim:



Poland was taking part for the first time in such a competition and lack of experience brought team a very poor start scoring only 3 victories in the first round. Gutek1916 being one of the winners:



Even though DdyOlteanu lost in the first roumd, the main favorite, Romania, started the competition well snatching 7 victories, the most impressive being GeluRomanu:



Arrived in the last moment, Szempy, the best Hungarian fighter gave wings to his team and after these performances




Hungary was surprisingly leading after the first round
Scared by the lead, huns got nervous and had their worst round in the whole competition, only 5 victories and a few shamefull defeats:



Even though e.Jean scored for the artistic impression, the Hungarian team lost the lea😛



After the cold shower from the start, Polish team was all bussiness. A close to perfection round, 8 wins out of 10 (4 of them against stronger opponents) and the wake up signal:




Romania secured the second place, keeping a constant pace. Same score like in the first round and good hopes for launching the attack in the next round. GeluROmania was on fire again:


Elijah Abbot poor hot iron into the hearts of Bulgarian players and an amazing things has happened in the second round. A PERFECT TEN. The entire team won the battles bringing and climber incredbly on the first position. A few of the most impressive wins:





A 0,5 bonus point for the PERFECT 10 and Bulgaria took over the lead

Third round was a mistery, none of the team playing very well. Unexpected loses and incredible wins brought only few changes to the general clasification.

Bulgaria kept the pace and winned this round also scoring the most points and increasing the advantage in the lea😛



Poland was impressive again, hitting the same as Bulgarian and climbing for the first time to a podium place. Jot1923 was definetly the jolly-joker of the team, 3rd round and 3rd victory to a stronger opponent:



The Romanian attack to the number 1 position did not came up. Furthermore, technical problems for Elphh and some poor performances here and there brought them the weakest round in the whole competition:

Still, some signs of recovery from that time, freshly elected president of Romania:


Eventhough Szempy tried, Hungary could not come back and landed on the last place:


After 3 rounds Bulgaria had a solide advantage and they look to be favorites for the last 2 rounds



Trying to explain what happened, Mikrobi, one of the Hungarian players said at the press conference: "I didn't even imagine I could ever have taken part in such a competition. I thought I was an average player. Unfortunately not many people plays guerrilla fight due to its costs and the great deal of luck factor. You could have seen the results were very tight (of course I don't deny we lost) because tactics does not count much enough according to the present circumstances. But playing in a team it was really a good experience and helps forming the community. Thanks for organizing the competition and thank WasssDorong to gather our team!"

Round 4 started with some technical problems, Guerrilla module having some temporary problems. Fortunately, it did not took too long and everybody was ready to launch the final Sniper shots.

The Bulgarian advantage melted down under the pressure of the other teams and with 5 games lost (their lowest score in the competition) all the hopes for the first position were ruine😛



Hungary sunked even more losing contact with the rest of the team even though they made a very good roun😛


And that happened because the main favorites, Romania, attacke😛

And they were so close to score the perfect 10 just that Russ3l from Poland got into the way of Cristiwiz:


But the PERFECT 10 was achieved when we last expected. Polish found the power, strength, luck and determination winning all the battles in the 4th round and climbing for the first time in the leading position.



Before the last round the difference between the teams on the podium was smaller than 2 points. All the ingredients for an exciting last round.


At the press conference, the leader of the Bulgarian squad explaine😛 "It was a massacre, really strong players entering guerrilla at the same time, fighting each other with bloodlust and trying to win as many as possible. What else could we ask for?", while his team mate Gruyo Gruev contemplate😛 "Romanians hitting criticals every time, Plato stole us the victory! Just kidding. Awesome performance from all the teams and very entertaining challenge. Thanks for the good organization!"

It was all about the last 15 minutes of this epic confrutation. Who had the strongest nerves?

Hungary finished strong, winning the last round, but was just not enough to be on the podium. Szempy and Night-wish managed a flawless night (5 out of 5 victories) getting also the individual bonus point.



Bulgaria tried the comeback, but they were just a few decimals short. NikitaK was the most amazing performer of the competition winning 5 out of 5 matches even if in its entire existance playes only 13 previous matches:


Poland and Romania went head to head for the win. Romania won the direct fights with Poland (2-0)



but lost 3 battles to Bulgarian players. Even if GeluRomanu and Calinovb were flawless, they were still 2 poinst short because Poland kept the same pace. Russ3l and Jot1923 had nerves of steel finishing the competition undefeate😛


Zdenocharra confirmed the "Superstar" status and brought the last win needed to get the win:


After 2 hours and 15 minutes, Poland was the winner of the Guerrilla Challenge Superstars on Clopoyaur TV.
Silver medal for the main favourite, Romania, and their first defeat in history
Bronze medal for Bulgaria but the difference to the second place was only 0.24.
No shame for Hungary even if in the 4th place. The level of the competition was extremely high.

At the press conference Romanias and Polish players were shaking hands.

However, Patrysss was jumping around of so much joy: "That was awesome, I hope for a rematch very very soon. I will help you with whatever you want, we should get more teams to join and more players to play. This was the greatest fun I had in a long time in this game. Even the BIA tournament last week wasn't just a bit as entertaining as this. ABSOLUTE 10/10. This is the greatest idea for a long time someone came up with, it was so great. I dont care we won, the online scores, your commenting was very good, great organisation! Awesome, thank you."

Romanians were more sobre but still happy after an exhausting match. Ciufulitu told the media: "It was a wonderfull night with very strong oponents and close battles. A rematch now is our best motivation. Somehow is better that we lost, is boring to always win. We will be more focused next time". Next to him Roscatul approved his speach adding: "The level of the teams competing gives the level of the competition and tonight the level was very high. We had worthy opponents. I am hoping for some more competitions like this one"

TWo IF that decided the game:

In round 4 Russ3l defeated Cristiz in this fight! As a result Poland took the bonus for making 10 points in a round and an advantage of 1,75 points to Romania. If Cristiwiz would of have won that match Romania would of had a perfect round (all wins), a 0,5 bonus and an advantage of 1,5 points over Poland. This would of have lead to Romania winning the competition.



Rider of the Pale Horse loses in the 3rd round a match against the former captain of the Bulgarian team, Ultrabotev. If Ultrabotev would of deliberately lost, Bulgaria would of have taken second place. Still, Ultrabotev fought with honor! o7 Ultrabotev!
