[MoFA] War and The Wipe

​The past and upcoming week, will be a prime war zone in France, Announcement of war from the UK , Spain and Poland will turn France upsidown. After nonnegotiable talks and demands towards Belgium from French representatives, warning Belgium that France will invade our regions occupied by Poland (in a effort to stop a growing PTO in Belgium), Belgium is ready to make a stand. Although we understand France's position at this time, risking Belgium's security will not be tolerated. Belgium is ready to join our allies, The United Kingdom, Spain and Poland, in their efforts against France, not just for national interests but for the interests of our allies. Although Belgium was in a different alliance from our two neighbors, we have maintained relations and are glad to be able to be there when the fighting starts against France. Although Belgium is occupied by Poland and cannot directly attack France, Belgians will do their best through all means necessary to assure Poland, Spain and United Kingdom victory. To arms my friends - although we might be small, our tanks will be ready for Poland, Spain and UK.



​The Past: Rewind to the month of October and the 3rd Presidential term of MaryamQ. A wipe had been discussed before, but with people opposing sides, it was the never ending debate of Belgium. No congress would be able to pass majority on a decision to be wiped, no CP would be able to make the decision without going through congress. During the month of October war raged throughout the eWorld, with Poland on the verge of attacking Indonesia, but "under the table talks had begun" between various parties: CoT HQ, Poland, and Belgium. Having tried all of the previous suggestions in order to prevent a growing PTO, with varying degrees of success over a period of months, a select group of trusted eBelgians chose the final option. A wipe had been discussed for several months, and that was not unknown to the public, but when we received information that a larger influx of PTO friends was planned, it was agreed that we could not afford to have another Congress.



​With the main representatives of Belgium being Cika Nikola96 and MaryamQ, the Belgian administration contacted the government of ePoland, who were extremely helpful in agreeing to the war we proposed and also that they would hold our regions only as long as our government wished them to do so. Belgium is very grateful for their help. CoT was also informed of this. But no treaty nor signatures were obtained due to the trust and respect between the Polish and Belgium governments. At the time the the wipe was linked not to a PTO but to helping our alliance: "Last but not least, you will surely have noticed that we are engaged in a war with Poland. Use these battles to earn TP medals and to increase in rank quickly, and also as an incentive to get on the new leader boards. There has already been funding for support of this war voted, and more details will be coming soon. We are doing our bit to spread TWO damage and help our alliance. Although the intention was to hide the fact the Belgian administration wanted Belgium to be wiped, the reason behind the wipe of Poland came out shortly after with some digging by Lorcmea, mentioned in his article.

Present: For the past 3 months and 3 Presidents, Belgium has continually relied on Poland, with all 3 regions under Polish occupation for the majority of the time. Belgium has been very thankful and grateful for the continuous actions of Poland; their efforts in helping keep the Belgium PTO threat stagnant are recognized by many citizens of Belgium. Some struggles have been brought our way with the new updates of determination and empires. Although empires do not affect Belgium, determination does. Poland has lost many regions due to determination bonuses in long occupied regions. Nevertheless Belgium is happy to be fighting alongside Poland in helping keeping Belgium Polish. Poland's acts towards Belgium for the past 3 months and, we hope, in the future will not be forgotten by Belgium. We will always remember keeping Belgium Polish. On a side note I personally would like to recognize and commend those who have kept the occupation going and those who have started it.
