[DoE] Ambassador Program

Day 2,165, 00:13 Published in USA USA by Department of Citizen Affairs

Today we'll be talking about the ambassador program. Currently run by Alexandrer Coin and Thomas Killah, the program has undergone several recent changes, including structural improvements in addition to the creation of a new ambassador application and program website.

The Department of Ambassadorial Affairs (DoAA) is run by the Department of State, serving primarily as a link between the eUS and any foreign country. An ambassador's job is to maintain positive diplomatic relations between two countries, keeping communication lines open and initiating important dialogues with officials in another country (a key component in any diplomatic job). Being active is a crucial aspect of the job, an essential requirement for all ambassadors in the program.

Becoming an ambassador is a privilege, not a right! You get to become a link between two countries, no matter if they are allies or enemies (it doesn't matter, as long as you have fun in what you do!). The work you put into establishing and maintaining that connection between the eUSA your assigned country plays an important role in their overall diplomatic relationship.

Diplomacy is a key component in any government job. Once we have ensured the safety of our own nation, we can assist other nations in their efforts--and that's where ambassadors come in. Communication and coordination are vital when dealing with the large numbers of people involved in a multinational game.

Why should you join the DoAA? The ambassador program is a great place to start a political career, and your help would greatly benefit our country.

All that's required is a 30-day, basic knowledge of eRepublik and a genuine desire to serve your country. Of course, you are expected to act professionally when dealing with representatives from your assigned country. In addition, the DoAA collects reports from each ambassador at least four times a week to keep track of ambassadors' progress in their respective countries, monitoring their activity and success in bringing about good diplomatic relations with other countries.

Former ambassador to eAlbania SwiftStrike74 says, "I became one because.., there are A LOT of ambassadors who actually enjoy doing their job. Most of them are in a country where they speak the language, though. 🙂" He added, "They had positions open, and I was looking for a way to get involved in the government."
