[EXTRA] My Inevitable CP Candidacy Article: Love is Brutal! (愛は厳しいだ!)

Day 2,113, 00:01 Published in Japan Japan by ahava3233

コン友達たち!これはアーハヴァーです。 (Hey friends, it's ahava!) In any event, it's about time for me to talk a little about my intentions as Country President for the upcoming elections.

There is a TL😉R version at the bottom.

Japan, it's my view that since Portugal's airstrike about 40 days ago, we've been having a bit of a rough time. Morale has been down and we've gone through two somewhat dysfunctional governments, one which was led by a president who originally meant well but deserted his post mid-term, and another that who many of you might agree hasn't accomplished much of anything tangible in its term on the domestic front. There's also been the annual dearth of activity due to the summer. So, Japan needs a new manager, aka CP, that being someone who can get it off its feet. This person needs to start us up again from the ground running this September to allow it to rise from ashes like a phoenix! Folks, I hope you'll accept me for the job!

My Dream (Plans)

Many of you might just know me as that "loud" woman and lifetime citizen of Japan from the Shinsengumi Party who came back from a gameplay hiatus a few months back that tends to be on IRC alot. But folks, I'm more than that. Not only do I have experience in party politics, economics, journalism, finance, defense, congress, foreign affairs, and Japanese culture; I have a dream!

1. I have a dream that we will have a unified national military, an unstoppable military where all of our forces can receive supply like in the days of old (as in the old JNF/Japan National Forces) by opting to give the fruits of their labor to the country through a commune, yet still wear the flag of their military unit of choice! Highly effective communes are already a reality in my own MU, the Shinsengumi, as well the Imperial Japanese Army, and I believe we can extend this principle to the rest of the country.

2. I have a dream that we can offer an effective and popular system of government-managed mutual funds for all of our citizens and trusts (MUs, Political Parties, or otherwise) they form between each other, not just a select few, that can be maintained through next month and further. I also have a dream that we can offer a transparent government that tracks all of its finances in near real-time and puts its money towards super-effective programs and MPPs, while ever more increasing our coffers of course!

3. I have a dream that the average Japanese Citizen will take part in our foreign affairs and have the opportunity to represent us overseas as ambassadors with guidance in an extensive ambassador program, bringing back interest and knowledge to Japan!

4. I have a dream that Japan and its allies will be able to work hard and smart together towards the effort to eventually free Honshu from Portuguese oppression and create a better foreign affairs situation, whatever it takes!

Of course however, dreaming is the easy part. To reach this dream, all of our country's systems need to be finely tuned. We need to revamp the military, the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and our infrastructure while listening to the suggestions of the populace to get the ball rolling again. We also need to analyze and have open discussion on our country's foreign affairs only with bias towards the greater welfare of Japan and its future, whatever that may mean (CoT or no CoT), if only to unify the state. This takes devotion to the cause, which I know I have. I love this country and want to see it become a thriving place again; I will work my butt off to do it. My nostalgia for a Great Japan is limitless, thus, I am not afraid to do what it takes to get there and will keep fighting, bashing through all the brick walls in my way. I will be an extremely active and accessible CP!

My Team (Cabinet)

As you all already know, to get this done I would not be alone; my current cabinet is thus. Note these are only the people who have agreed to assist thus far, this list is not final.

I have asked my opponent, Squibeel, in particular twice to assist me in matters of Foreign Affairs and/or as a Vice President in our discussions; I have yet to get any response from him on the matter. My dear Squibeel, I really can't be sure if you got my message, but I hope you answer the call as I answered your own my old friend!

Update: I heard back, the idea I got from him is a maybe.

Prime Minister: Kowalski_afc

Ministers of Defense: William of Edenbury and Shadowmaniac

Governor: Rik Daphnee

Ministers of Finance: Sensha and Jetishumadinac

Minister of Foreign Affairs: Nicolas Bonaparte

Minister of Culture and History: Shirobu

Minister of Security: Turt037

You may have noticed a lack of hierarchical distinction between my ministers in each department, save a distinction in the Ministry of Finance between the Governor and the rest of the MoF employees. Well here's my explanation: in order to allow Japan to function as efficiently as possible, I intend to remove bureaucratic hurdles such as vice-ministership to give my Ministers the freedom they need to get things done creatively and quickly in a fully cooperative setup. They will of course remain under my watchful eye, and I will guide them all closely in achieving our goals whilst listening closely to their ideas. If they veer off course, whether accidentally or purposefully, I will take whatever measures necessary to guide their ministry back onto the road. Oh and furthermore...the distinction between the governor and the other Ministers of Finance is regarding national organization management privileges, nothing more (The Governor and I will be handling the orgs, along with one of my Ministers of Finance, Sensha (you may know him better as E Nikolov, the name he's been known by since well over a year ago in this country when he was one of my close compatriots within Sakurakai) to a lesser extent as a trainee).

TL😉R Version/Conclusion

Long story short, this country needs a team who will be meticulous and hard-working. We have a long and arduous road ahead of us towards rebuilding to a state of prosperity and greatness. I intend to be a somewhat micromanaging and meticulous CP whose team will use her team's resources to get things back on track to the best of her ability and more so despite the odds. I will be brutal in my efforts just like my namesake, ahava (אהבה, meaning love in Hebrew) can be brutal, due in part to my love (愛) for this country.

So, Japan! I ask for your support in the upcoming election to allow me and my cabinet to take the reins and get this country to shine once more.

愛は厳しいだ
Love is Brutal
