[EXTRA] National Organizations: The Missing Guidebook/Explanation
ahava3233
Howdy folks, it's your friendly neighborhood ahava3233 reporting to you from Chugoku! In any event, I wanted to give an explanation of sorts into the basis of the intense politicking that has been going on since yesterday, that being how orgs generate money. I was inspired to write this after I had a long conversation with a couple of people (including some long-term politicians) explaining the National Organizations (Orgs) and how they are used to manage government finances and generate money on IRC. Most of them had no clue how the orgs make money, so I figured I'd write an explanation for everyone to read! Please note that this is solely an explanatory article for the populace that is not political in nature (save maybe my signature).

What's an Org?
First off, an Org is actually a type of account in erepublik. Its custodian(s) are able to access it the same way you would normally access any other erepublik account, with an email and password. However, as an org is an org and not a citizen, it only has a limited set of features available as an account. Orgs have the ability to store food, weapons, raw materials, gold, and currency and post all of these items on the (monetary) market and/or donate them, but they cannot fight or work, join a political party or MU, vote, have friends, or post on feeds. Orgs however can comment on articles as you can see in the first comment below. They can also send/receive private messages.
Anyway, it was once possible for private citizens to acquire their own organization(s). However, citizen organizations were removed from the game a long time ago and only National Organizations have remained. National Organizations are by principle handled by the Country President and any other people s/he wishes to designate and trust (given anyone with access to the orgs can steal from them) as an org custodian (manager). Their main intended purpose is to allow for the use of funds from the treasury by the government for purposes other than legislation (ie: Mutual Protection Pacts, Declarations of War, Printing Money, Signing a Peace Treaty, etc). As such, the only way they can receive funds is via donation laws passed by their country's congress.
The Other Purpose of Orgs: Monetary Market Abuse
You may have noticed there has been some discussion regarding using the National Organizations for purposes of generating revenue. You may have thought this is a matter of speculating on the market, however that is not the case at all! National Organizations make money rather off of two discrete principles.
1. There is no limit to how much gold an organization can receive in a day. Citizens on the other hand can only receive up to 10 gold/day through the monetary market and donations.
2. There is a bot on the monetary market that buys a portion of all offers for country currency near their expiration date (10 days after post), so long as they're posted at the lowest market rate.
Thus, if an organization posts a large quantity of country currency (aka CC or JPY in Japan; the term JPY will be used for the rest of this article to avoid confusion, albeit all currencies are worth the same amount of gold now!) on the market, currently for .005 Gold/JPY at the present time to be specific, some or all of the offer is likely to be bought by the market bot after 10 days through many small currency purchases. Citizens can do this as well, but they are limited to receiving up to 10 gold from the bot every 10 days.
How bot activity appears in org alerts, specifically for one of the orgs I currently manage as vMoF, the JEC (Japan Election Commission) in this case.
After the bot buys currency, the resulting gold can then be sold on the market for currency. Profit is made off the difference between the JPY->Gold exchange rate (currently "pegged" at .005 Gold/JPY, or inversely 200 JPY/Gold due to the inability to post more than 3 decimal places on the exchange rate in either direction), and the Gold->JPY exchange rate (currently fluctuating around 215 JPY/Gold). Thus, JPY is sold to the bot for Gold a low price, and then converted back to JPY at a higher price for a profit!
Recent discussion on providing access to the orgs to MUs and/or the populace is based on using this principle to make money for them. The ramifications of various plans and structures to do this are however beyond the scope of this article. I have my own opinions and plans but they will be discussed later in a CP candidacy article (as you can see here, I am currently running for CP with my main opponent being my good friend Squibeel (no sarcasm intended) in upcoming elections).
Thanks for reading. If you liked this article, feel free to comment or subscribe...or not. Do vote up this article though so people can see it on their homepage. Stay tuned for future articles!
And of course this article would not be complete without a fun GIF that may or may not have one of many quirky implicit political (or maybe financial) meanings, LOL.

thanks for the Explanation [voted]
i think currency offers are not bought by a bot
reasons:
-on 10th day the offer -for a certain timeframe- is moved to the 1st page (so people buying there will see your offer) after that timeframe the offer will be removed and come back to your account if not all was bought (it seems 5minutes before the offer times out it will vanish from market)
if there were a bot then there would be no reason for admins to move the offer to 1st page on MM
-i haven't seen alerts that show that more than 10g was bought at once
=only citizens with 10g-limit buy the offers and as the offer is quite bad it is only noobs and people bad at math
-i heard countries try to get their 10day offers not all at the same time as they would block each other because if you have 50orgs all ready to buy at the same time most will not be shown on the 1st page because they are too many offers, rather CPs let citizens borrow orgs for gold (~15g/month)
other stuff
1. a problem is that orgs can donate but as citizen you can't donate to orgs
so you need always to have some money in a org to get new money into the org (as citizen) via monetary market offer or by buying and selling raw
2. orgs also trade normaly on the MM
if you calculate 200cc in currency sold at 1cc = 0.001g makes 1gold and at the moment can be sold for ~216cc. thats a profit of 16cc per gold in 10days
= per gold used you only make 1,6cc profit per day and there is even a chance that your currency offer will not be bought at all (=no profit)
dealing normaly on MM takes more time but it makes much more profit
if you only make 1gold profit per day via normal dealing that would equal a 10day currency offer of 25000cc (=125gold)
... being bought.
No. A few corrections:
1. a. I have seen more than 10 gold bough all at once: max 300 gold (our own org) and 600 gold (not one of ours, cuz we don't offer that much plus smaller denominations).
2. The idea from making money from day to day trading is true but it requires that 1 org is controlled by one person which in eJapan isn' allowed.

well then there are also some not so good dealing orgs on the streets i guess* or it was like last week when someone sold very much gold below 1g=200cc and a org depleted of currency was quick enough to buy currency on the currencyoffer-side and also buy some part of the nice gold offer
2.
there are countries like france who have ~200 orgs
state wouldn't be able to manage them all so it is easier to let people borrow them for money
___
*wouldn't surprise me i see orgs dealing who sell all at 214 and then buy with the currency all offers up to 1g=216cc and then they think they really could sell like 3000gold at 216cc and make profit
Despite of having 15 orgs the decision of the congress which rejected the loaning of orgs for the domestic community was right.
You don't have the sufficient "stock of orgs" to put on loan and it would be much better if the citizens of your ecountry would take orgs from other orgsuperpowers. (It is the same in my eCountry, eAlbania where we have only one org and even that one is with minus 2k gold, Imagine that: "we have no economy" 😃 hahahah).
The best thing, according to me , would be that your MoF controlled the orgs and conduct financial actions in the MM to get profits.
Well eFrance is like an empire of organizations. Yes they have 200 org (mostly of them are named *emergency - eXxxxxxxx* or *depot defence X* or *Ambassade Xxxxxxx😉 and they have even created a Ministry of Oranizations which works as a perfect branch of the government to control and keep the orgs safe. (I have personal experience with them and their work is fabulous and they keep their word).
They loan their orgs to their domestic MUs and Political Parties and to registered eFamilies (to create a type of holding eCompanies). There are many ways to develop new things with these orgs in eFrance by creating banks and things like these also.
I wanted to add that the logistic department and media dep. of eFrance utilized 20-30orgs until the middle of Summer but due to the french BB they upgraded their logistics up to less than 80 orgs to operate with the MM and give supps.
I hope I have been to some help with infos.
Tschuess 😃
As a MoF i proposed a similar thing to the congress of eJapan (loaning orgs to the MU under pary management) and it was rejected. All orgs in eJapan are under the control of the MOF.

btw what's the average return on goldfishing with an org?
or
how much of the currency posted is bought on average?
when countries let people borrow their orgs for ~15gold then i guess the profit of goldfishing on average is not much higher than that... or am i wrong? (would equal 3times currency bought worth 55g / = 165g per month)
*i calculated with a difference of 20cc here
= goldMM at 1g:220cc and currencyMM being at 1cc:0.005 (=1g:200cc)
The profit depends on the money you put on the org to "play" with the MM, zB I have invested 200 gold in my organization so I operate with these and get a profit like about 10-20gold per month for my self excluding the payment to the MinOrg (Ministry of Organizations of eFrance).

Good article
May I ask how many orgs does eJapan have?
14 or 15 I believe if I'm not mistaken. I'm only sure about 14 but Tara might've mentioned another somewhere.
There's no proof that a bot exists.
