A Storm Ahead

Read the president's Good-bye-article

Hello, dear readers!

First I will salute you with the coming of the new year and I want to wish you all the best during those 365 days of your life! Let your dreams come true!

Then I will get to the point - the recent events, motivating me to write this article. As you can imagine, I cannot understand everything, happening now in eNorway, but even though I feel the pressure over our everyday existence in eRepublik. Due to inconsiderate and perhaps harmful actions of the country's president there is an impeachment proposal, pending in the congress and a tearing discussion on the forum (if you have not heard enough yet, you could read more on the forum). On the other side that was the last drop of making the current president quit not only his office, but the game as well.

I am not the right person to define his thoughts and deals as correct or incorrect, but a vital task of today should be countering the consequences before arguing whether what was done is a reason for punishment and shame or not. Moreover - the topic has been discussed in a sort of a hidden way - not a single article has been published until this moment. If not the president, at least some of the criticisers should explain their motifs in public. An open excuse or an abdication are waited too, so without being inpatient I kindly ask the men knowing more and participating personally in this issue to get it to the people.

However, impeaching a few days before elections is not the best solution, and the occurred troubles will only make eNorway weaker. A baby-boom campaign is expected and a political disunion is not what the newcomers would like to see. The president's supporters will stand against his enemies and this would split the nation into two different and polarised pieces - for our tiny land this could be deadly. Otherwise - a mistake on a high level is not to be tolerated. But even if we all go along with that, the problem solving is always before the punishment and the blaming. Let's unite in order to secure our interests and then think of faults and sides.

And of course - publish more about the situation, what is the congress for, if not for informing the people about its decisions? I hope you will not feel offended by my article, because my only wish is the best of this people. I do not try to criticise with bare words, neither do I want to express disappointment about the president, who has helped me in my few earliest days here. I only feel it right to ask - what has happened in fact, and how are we going to move on?

Thank you!

And PS. - If you have any ideas about the newspaper's outlook, let me know, please! Tell me if you like the new header and dividers and if you have something to recommend - plese, do! Thank you!
