[EXTRA] For a Shining Japan!

Hey, ahava3233 here. Yesterday was rather tumultous and stressful for me as the main opponent against a Serbian PTOer in Sakurakai. At 3AM EDT (Eastern Daylight) I noticed the voting ended with a result of 19-17, the Serbian winning. So, I went to sleep, expecting the worst to come to pass...there was no change.



So it seems as if the attempted Serbian PTO of Sakurakai (see here) despite the best efforts of many patriotic individuals was successful. We have failed in the first line of defense on keeping foreign influence out of our domestic politics. This is an unfortunate turn of events. Given the current political climate, this Serbian group will be able to exert a large amount of influence on our affairs with their grip on the number 3 party in the country, a party that I had a key part in originally building and shaping. Sakurakai itself is truly dear to me. Thus, it is with a heavy heart that I write the rest of this article.



Members of Sakurakai and also of all the other parties out there, above all else, your allegiance should be to this country. When you obtained citizenship (whether by application or by birth), you swore foremost loyalty to our country. Thus, I ask for your aid in finishing this fight and keeping these Serbians from holding our nation by the throat so our community can have a chance to flourish.



Our country is currently under seige by an additional foreign threat through war, Taiwan. They are due to wipe us soon and they will afterwards probably leave us with a region or two after initial discussions. Given congress election mechanics, in this situation very few candidates will be able to run for office. Due to this, party presidents will likely be given the chance to decide who is to run for their party and who can't. Thus, given a Serbian now has control over Sakurakai, s/he will be able to put his/her candidates up for election barring actual well-intentioned Japanese candidates. Furthermore, s/he will likely be able to get these candidates into office through highly coordinated voting on the behalf of their Serbian group (the PTO of the Party Presidency already required alot of coordinated voting on their part, thus this ability is proven). This is an undesirable situation in particular during a small congress. These Serbians would be able to seize a large amount of control over our affairs in this case.



Thus, for the sake of Japan, I ask that we make Sakurakai irrelevant when the congressional elections come up and not allow it to become a platform for Serbian congress members. To do this, we simply need to take Sakurakai out of the top 5 political parties. Sakurakai members, you can do this by leaving Sakurakai and going to smaller parties, in particular Moriya Jinja and on a lesser note the Democratic Party of Japan. Furthermore, members of the Imperial Sun Party in particular and a few of United Lolies, I furthermore ask for your assistance. It would be appreciated if some of could move to these smaller parties as soon as you can to help protect our country from foreign influence. This won't affect the effectiveness of your parties in the least bit during the congress election season given the game mechanics, feel free to switch back once we have a new Diet/Congress. Personally, I have already switched out of Sakurakai, I hope you do the same and help us keep the Serbians OUT and our government untainted by foreign influence.

This is a dire time for all of us, but if we work together, I know we can beat the odds, we can change the future. Let's show the world that Japan means business and is a thriving community of caring players, despite its size. Let us unite in the face of foreign tyrrany!
