Department of Education update, article contest, and new player survey

New Leadership/New Agenda

The Department of Education is now under the guidance of Dennis McVicker, please feel free to contact him with any questions or concerns you might have.

The Department of Education is going to start a new aggressive agenda for education and retention of new citizens. We are starting by contacting all Party Presidents and Military Unit Commanders for help guiding new citizens to our department for help and education. We will be putting out regular articles answering questions about parts of the game new citizens may be having issues with, along with resources for new players. A large part of the new program is going be to get older players publishing articles to help out new players.

Each week the Department of Education will be holding a contest for articles written by players that provide information on the game that are useful to new citizens. The contest will start every Thursday, and will end the following Wednesday. To participate simply write an article covering one of the following categories:

Media
Business/Resource Management
Fighting/Damage Management
Politics
IRC/Forums/Social Aspects of the Game
Game Mechanics
eUS/World History

To be eligible for the contest the article must be written in the eUS, include a link to this paper, and you must contact Dennis McVicker with a link to your article.
Participants may write as many articles for the contest as they wish, and are eligible to win in multiple categories. (This contest is currently funded privately and will continue for as long as there is an interest in it.) So start writing, have fun, and help new players.

New Citizen Survey

The Department of Education is conducting a survey of new players to see how active you are and what parts of the game you're interested in learning about or need help with.

All eUS citizens who have been in the game less than ninety days or who are under level 25 will receive 100 Q1 food for filling out this survey.


We would appreciate all players voting and shouting this article.
