I bring you news on something major that I promised in my manifesto...

United Kingdom joins ONE

It's been a long time since the United Kingdom has been settled in a global alliance: properly settled with developed friendships instead of faux amis. Over the last week, the pieces came together and the United Kingdom official enters the ONE alliance as of today.

We've been aiming to join ONE for months, fighting for them, forging friendships with former enemies and fighting against common enemies but a variety of obstacles prevented us from doing so, initially including the no expansion policy of ONE and our "friendship" with France. With the push for Indonesia to have ONE membership and the recent squabble with France, resulting in the termination of the Strasbourg treaty and pushing us much closer to ONE, the UK government seeked to join ONE and were consequently invited to do so at the beginning of this term.

The issue wasn't really divisive among congress as voting concluded yesterday, with there being 26 yes votes and 1 no vote with super majority conditions. In addition to that, all member nations of ONE voted for UK membership of ONE, meaning we could accept, with our congressional approval, the invite to join ONE as an official member.
