Announcing my resignation from politics

I will not be running for the Ireland First party president in the elections tomorrow. I will continue to serve my term as president, but I will not run for reelection, nor become a mayor or congressman. I will gladly offer advice and help to those who ask though.
Why are you stepping down?
I was going to run if no one had challenged me, as I did not want Ireland First to be without a leader. But now ImaNewbie has placed himself as a candidate, and thus I hand control over to him or anyone else who decides to run.
When I first started erepublik I had high aspirations. I wanted to own a large multinational corporation, I wanted to be president, I wanted to be the most influential citizen in Ireland. I feel I have accomplised all I can in the political side of erepublik. I am honoured that people have embraced my ideas and thought me fit to lead the country. Two terms as president is enough for me, and I don't think I could achieve anything more by serving another term. The people of Ireland deserve to get a taste of different leaders.
What are your future plans?
I plan to get more involved in the economic side of the game. I hope to establish some simulated organizations such as a bank. I plan to have a corporation account in a country with a large market, and use my current account for non-economic activities. I also want to travel around and mabye get a good fight in here or there 😉
Ireland will always be my home and where my allegiance lies.
P.S. Anyone who wants their own political party without paying the gold cost, join Ju Economic Welfare and vote for yourself. You might need some friends if others have the same idea 🙂

There goes Kaleb probably one of the best most active political leaders in erepublik. I cant think of alll which he has contributed. I hope you will still be active Kaleb you make this game much more interesting.
Michael Collins you were a worthy adversary in the political arena and I hope you will be even more wily in the world of economics. I am saddened at your leaving of politics but I know our economic jousting will be just as stimulating. Also I am sure ImaNewbie wont be a disapointment either.

Mmmmmmm, today its a very sad day. I think you were a really good president because you deep thoughts about politic in eRepublik. Hope all will be right with you in the economic side (remember me the day i ask you a loan 😉)

Well the reason I kept quiet about it is because I wanted someone who truly had ambition and was serious about leading the party to take control. If everyone thought I was still running then only someone like this would run for the position.

No just Vyse and Vyse clone. 😛 I\'m just doing it for fun if anyone seriously wants Ju and has good ideas I\'ll gladly hand over the reigns.
Well, i was thinking on transform Fine Gael group into politic group, with the same ideas like now. But only thinking about, i have to ask my fellow friends on Fine Gael.
