[CP] Attention upcoming Congress members

Congressmen and women,
I write this article to you all on congress day to ask for a favour. My cabinet and I have achieved great things in this past month since my term in office. We have got what few presidents in the past few months got, since the war against Britain began, and that is a full congress, with 1 extra region to run in, which is Northern Ireland, which hopefully we can hold onto until the votes our counted. So this is a favour I ask to all the congressmen, who didn’t just run for the 5 gold prize they receive and the nice shining medal to add to their collection, I ask them to change the 5 gold they have got or whatever amount of gold they are willing to give into IEP and then donate it to Sweet Drinker, my Minister of Finance(http://www.erepublik.com/en/citizen/profile/2076507 ). This money will fund further MPPs to stronger our military capabilities and fund the ongoing war against the UK. And before you ask yes I did donate the 5gold I received for winning the Presidential elections. . I will also get Sweet to send me all the names of all the people who donated so a list of the congressmen who care about Ireland enough to donate will be made in my next article.

Don't know, as I wouldn't have taken the position in the first place. But it is indeed a dilemma. I firmly believe that the treasury is in good hands as long as they are yours. At the same time, you legitimise a totally immoral, corrupted and immature clique, which have hurt the interests of the community as a whole repeatedly. Indeed, a dilemma. My answer is the easier one: no cooperation with the rogues. Your one is the tricky one. Permanent balancing might hurt your own integrity in the long run.

I don't have a problem with making my donations to Sweet. I don't have a problem with donating the 5 gold from winning congress to the national treasury.
I'm not fond of the implication that if I don't make a donation, it will be insinuated that I don't care about Ireland. And that is a bit of a leap from the idea of doing a favour... I recommend not publishing a list of those who made donations. I don't frankly see the point.

Personally, I feel we've had enough MPPs and we are neglecting other areas if we are investing constantly in that area. So, if I don't donate does that mean I don't care about Ireland???

I for one am not donating. Why? Because I've spent so much of my own gold these past few months as I'm sure others have as well. If I choose to donate gold no matter what amount I shall do so. Maybe I'll just donate 25 or so and call it a day. But what I get is what I get and what I choose to do with it is my choice.

And SHM, could you just let the president do his job? He simply asked congressmen to donate their 5 gold to his MoF so that Ireland could pay for more MPPs. There is nothing "immoral" or "corrupt" about that. Give the man a break.

Why don't you list off what you want to do, how much it will cost, what benefit it will have to the country, and you might find yourself with plenty of donations, even from people who dont do suitery.
Works for other countries.
