Irelands Newest Milita

Day 1,296, 10:13 Published in Ireland United Kingdom by moomoohead

It is my pleasure to announce the launch of Libertads new military unit Libertad - Ireland. This is Libertads third unit and first in Ireland. This unit gives Irish citizens the chance to join with out having to change there citizenship. We are looking for new members of all strengths to join the team. I will take some questions about the unit, if you have any more please put them in comments or send me a PM.

Paddy from Dundalk asks “What is different about Libertad then all the other militias”?
Our mission is to help smaller countries or groups defend them selves. We do not prescribe to any political belief (most members are far left) or stick to world aliagances. Our membership is international. We rarely take part in aggressive actions to take land and keep real world hatreds out of in game conflicts. Our members tend to be more mature and is very supportive of each other. We do not receive direct government funds or orders. Libertad usually fights in smaller battles. We will defend Ireland when it is under attack.

MadCat from Wales asks “Are they some kind of evil PTO organization in disguise?”
Libertad has about 90 members, mostly Greek who have recently moved to Ireland. They have demonstrated there intent in the last two elections, No libertad member ran in last congress or CP elections. Libertad can be seen as a government in itself with its own systems and infrastructure. I have personally been voted most trusted political in Ireland 3x when the award meant something. I would not be a member of an organization that would harm Ireland. There are currently three ex-Irish presidents that are members of Libertad.

Cormac from Bally James Duff asks “You have been around the fields a few times in this game Moo, Why do you personally like this unit so much?”
I play games like this to have fun not to argue with people, which I found politics tends to bring out. I like the feeling of being a part of a team, which being a member provides. Every day some where in the world a small nation is being attacked by a bigger enemy. When 90 people show up to fight for them and ask nothing in return the citizens of that country are appreciative. It makes you feel, that your logging in makes a diffrence. It also makes you feel like you are making a difference when you fight together in small battles and win. They have also won a few RW from some of the big countries.

Anita from Derry asks “How do you get supplies, is it a good deal?”
If you choose to work in a unit company you are supplied with rations which equate to 4 Q5 weapons a day or food if needed. The unit supply system is very well organized and getting supplied happens in minutes. If the unit is being deployed you will receive moving tickets. You can also work some where else and just fight with the unit.

Giorgos from the Kerry asks “Most members are Greek, I do not speak Greek, is that a problem”
I have been in the unit for several months and have been able to communicate just fine. Most of the members speak English fluently with some live in English speaking countries in real life. Mr Giggle said about my spelling “Moo, has a third world education” , the rest of the unit type’s English better then me, lol, so not a problem Giorgos.

Barack from Oaffaly asks “If I become a member, what do I have to do?”
Where the unit frame as an avatar and fight where needed. You have to join the in game military unit and if you want supplies work in a unit company. If you go away for a couple of days in real life let some one know. Stop in on the IRC and say hi regularly. Working away at your own companies this will not be effected by membership in the unit. We would also love to have you join us Barack.

Edna from Mayo asks “You convinced me so what do I need to do”

Apply in game and send me a PM telling me you applied. I will send you joining instructions and sort out all the details. We already got a few pretty cool members and more are welcome. Libertad always helps out new players who bring an energy to the team, all are welcome.
