Over the last few days, the war module has gone over a bit of an overhaul. The full battle guide will be updated in time (it needs a decent rewrite) but until then, here are some tips to making sure you're not wasting damage or money on battles.

Blowout Battles

To reduce last minute rushes, the admins made it so whoever holds the bar past 50% earns "victory points" over time. The points are distributed every minute, with more points being given as time goes on based on the following scale:

Over the entire 2 hour round, a team can accumulate up to 3600 points. This means that once one team is past 1800 points, they've won the round.

If your team has more than 75% of the bar, it's advisable not to fight in that battle and just watch for changes or wait for the next round. Your team will earn points whether it owns 51% of the bar or all 100%, so there's no point in beating a dead horse.

This battle is a good example of one that's safe, there's no need to dump damage here.

Useless Battles

A little obvious knowledge for you, but still important - don't fight in useless battles. There are two indicators as to which battle is important enough that we need damage in.

1) Campaign of the day, a battle marked by the President as the most important battle of the time. This will always appear on your homepage when one is set.

2) Dept. of Defense orders. This newspaper has the standing orders for military personnel and civilians should use it just the same.

What to look out for.

If you are in a military unit or a militia, you might have your own orders that are different from either of the two, in which case you should listen to your superiors. Remember to check these battles before you fight and make sure they're not already decided, as I explained above.

This battle isn't decided, and good to fight in at the moment.

Food Over Weapons

This advice is a little older, but I thought I'd include it as a general notice. If you plan on exhausting supplies or dropping money on fighting, pick food over weapons. Doing your maximum amount of fights is more important than buying weapons and not being able to use all of your fights. So, if you're new and you don't have a lot of money, buy food instead of weapons, and you'll be on your way up the ranks.

Using all of your food fights is cheaper and more effective than using less fights with weapons.

We are stronger than NWO combined. With less wasted damage and more coordination, we can turn the tide in this war. Fight smart!
