Well Done, New Zealand

Day 1,061, 05:55 Published in New Zealand USA by Myles Robinson

eKiwis,

Well done on the Party President elections. All five candidates who agreed to work with ATO Efforts in the upcoming congressional candidates won. Thank you to Calbe, Thingol, Adasko, MachtGeil, and Andy Costello for their volunteering to do this. Thank you also to Fionia, Carr de Vaux, Necros Xiaoban, Venta, Bradley Reala, Ilija, Daniel Dodge, and everyone in #eKiwi-ATO for their help in coordinating things. We won by good margins, which is promising for the upcoming PTO threat we face in the Congressional Elections.

To those of you who say that the PTO threat is not real, to those of you who say that the provisional government is merely overreacting in some great conspiracy to take power, I draw your attention to this article. In it, a Serbian militia (independent of the Serb government) has brazenly declared their intention to take over eNew Zealand in order to turn it into a Serbian state. This militia has great numbers behind it and is very organized. Messages sent to them pleading to find some other solution have been met with a stubborn refusal to work with our budding community. They will create a party, they will attempt to take control of Congress, and then they will attempt to seize the presidency in order to fully force the nation to become a Serbian state.

I say to these PTOers: bring it on. We're ready to meet this challenge.

eKiwis, the reason I am optimistic is that, out of all the new nations, ours is the most active, most populated, and most organized. We are dealing economically with other nations, are improving foreign relations, boast a military of over one hundred and thirty individuals, have newspapers and organizations working to spread information, and have a great many people from differing backgrounds dedicated to preserving this new nation from hostile interests. Yes, there are disagreements in some policies and clashing of personalities, but I am truly surprised and grateful for the fact that, despite this, nearly everyone in the community seems intent on working together to preserve the community.

Just look at the numbers: out of 263 votes cast yesterday, over half, 164 voters, went to the official ATO candidates. Over fifty additional votes went to candidates who were not hostile threats but merely just individuals who either did not know about the Unity Process or did not care about the Unity Process. And yesterday we brought in no ATO help from foreign nations to help us achieve these numbers.

I hope that, with the perceived threat now a very real and declared threat, those who had been in disagreement with our ATO efforts and those who had decided to place their own personal ambitions ahead of our security will at last realise the necessity of these measures for this month. So long as this nation has open citizenship, our security is at risk-- once a Congress is established, open citizenship closes and the PTO threat dramatically decreases. All we have to do is hold our ground on Congress elections. One round of elections. I beg people to put off their personal and political ambitions just for now. Let us get through this race.

The plan is to hold primaries for Congress on the eNZ Forums to choose a slate of Unity Candidates-- 40 people to run on a united ticket. These Unity Candidates will be placed in the New Zealand Union Party, run by RL Kiwi and my Chief Advisor, Calbe, for all of our citizens to elect-- 10 people in each of the four regions. The other parties will attempt to place as many blockers--people not running for a position but holding it to prevent hostile PTOers and rogues from garnering votes--as they can. Then eKiwis will be asked to vote in the Unity Candidates to ensure that we have a safe, hostile PTO-free Congress. Once Congress is secure, politics can return to usual and next month parties can do whatever they want. Also, don't think we are doing this alone-- countries in both EDEN and Phoenix have agreed to offer ATO assistance if need be, and the Provisional Government is working with them to help coordinate our response to this threat.

Subscribe to the Kiwi Kontrol ATO newspaper, the Ministry of Public Information, and the eNew Zealand Civil Defence Orders for important information. Also, if you want to get involved with the community or participate in the Congressional Primaries, join us on IRC's Rizon Server in #eNewZealand and on our official forums.

Good job again, eKiwis. We made it through round one-- let's knock these guys out in the next round. 😉
