My name is Kyle Thornton and I am running on the ANP ticket to become one of Victoria's senators. I've been in eAustralia for some time now and I believe that I have gained enough game experience to take the job of being your representative. I'm on IRC and the forums most of the time, so I'll be easily contacted.

My Background

I was born into eRepublik on the 13th June 09. I had a short spell in eUK before moving to eAustralia.

My Platform

My political beliefs are centre-right. I believe in a free market, minimal government intervention, a good army and transparency in Government. My platform is set out based on these four beliefs.

Taxes - I promise to the people of Victoria that I will vote AGAINST any and all tax rises. It is my firm belief that if you give business the room to make profit, then this will allow them to create jobs and ultimately benefit the country. I'm not saying that we should scrap taxes but we should freeze or lower taxes at their current levels. I am also promising that for the individual, I will vote against any plans to increase income taxes. You can be assured that I and the ANP will vote against tax rises.

Government Companies- It is my belief that eAustralia has plenty of Government Funded Companies(GFC's) and that to balance our government finances we can switch some of the services that GFC's provide into the private sector to further secure eAustralia's growth and create jobs. This will also allow people to enterprise and bid for Government Contracts and this further reduces the State's role in the economy.

Reducing the size of Government- It is my belief that we can reduce the size of government in several ways. By reducing the amount of GFC's, reducing the amount of government control on the economy and reducing the size of Government control in the economy.

You can sum these up in one phrase: Giving Power BACK to the People.

I promise to you to be active, not a two clicker. To contribute, not ignore and to vote on every senate proposal, not abstain in the middle ground. I will also post my voting record up on this newspaper for all to see. I'm not afraid of my choices.

It is my hope to be able to contribute in giving the citizens of Victoria and eAustralia more personal liberty and freedom and to also ensure their safety with a proper armed services & defense systems in eAustralia.

The ANP is the only party which prides itself on putting the individual first, lowering taxes and giving companies more freedom. If the ANP can win a senate majority, we can take a leading role in ensuring these principals are followed in eAustralia.

My hope and the ANP's hope is to turn eAustralia from a country which is bordering on inactivity to one which is prosperous, active and enthused.
