Australian Military Party throws down the gauntlet

With the battle for the fifth position in the Top Party list coming down to the eleventh hour I felt that it was time to restate exactly what the Australian Military Party stands for and why he have managed to triple our numbers in a a few weeks.

Whether we consolidate ourselves in the Top 5 this month or not is only a matter of time. Every day we grow because of our strong party platform that is based on heavily on Game Dynamics. We are a party that can and will accomplish all it sets out to do. The Australian Military Party is not based on unattainable concepts.

Our platform is very capable of being attained using nothing but in game functions and utilization of our members to provide a strong reliable foundation for both new people to eRep and seasoned veterans.

Military Efficiency and Support.
The war module is one of the most dominant aspects of eRepublik. A country's ability to thrive economically and politically linked to its ability to wage war. The Australian Military Party advocates the consistent, responsible use of all necessary funds to 'rank up' our citizens and organize them to battle.

Winning the game > Roleplaying
In certain areas, role-playing is fun and harmless. However, it also has the potential to damage a country's military strength and/or efficient operation of government. The Australian Military Party endorses the full use of game mechanics above role-playing. We are a party based on what can actually be attained, and sustained through the game. Realism above ideology .

Support for EDEN
If Australia wants to play with the big dogs we must continue our support for EDEN. This is not an option. The strength of comradeship through EDEN nations is the thing that will keep us going through the darkest nights and allow us to stand on the stage of the world. Through the support of EDEN the quest of the Australian Military Party is attainable.

Monetary Policy
Government transactions must be used to peg the AUD to a fixed rate. The free float is not getting any us anywhere, and results in inconsistent prices for goods (as well as wages). It is these ups and downs that must be effectively stamped out. The AUD must be strong.

Immigration
The AMP welcomes EDEN immigrants. We will utilize their experience and get them involved in the nation. What potential lays waiting in the endless lines for citizenship approval? The AMP guarantees to fix the large holes in the system. Providing quick and effective alternatives to the screening procedures that are simply not effective, as the present PTO’s have shown.

Citizen Education
Baby booms + citizen education are CRITICAL. They are the reason for just about every major country's rise to prominence in eRepublik. We MUST devote more people, time, and resources to bringing in new people, and giving them reasons to stay.

Further-more I would like to invite the Party Presidents of E.R.A and the A.C.P to make their platforms known so that the people of Australia have the information they need to make informed decision.

A heart-felt thank you goes out to all of the Australian Military Party members both home and abroad that have seen us get this far so early. I truly had no idea that we could reach the top 5 within a few simple weeks.

No-matter what happens in the coming days the Australian Military Party is here to stay. Reborn out of a countries need we will not rest until our dreams of a strong and united Australia are met.

I like AMP, my 2nd favourite party 😃
You're doing a great job but I think everyone knows that the growth of both AMP and ACP to top 5 contendors is because the ADP was PTOd, not because either party is suddenly more popular.
Also can you tone down the whole game mechanics as party policy thing? I've heard enough of that from ERA and to be honest it is SOOO BORING! 😃

I think Chris, that the major difference between AMP and ERA is we seek a healthy balance between recognising the mechanics are an important element of the game, but are not THE most important element.

If you look at Larni's (most excellent) article, you will see under many of the sections this is about building our community - not raw numbers, not raw damage. THAT is what will separate our nation into the future, and THAT, is why I am more than happy to throw my support behind them.

AMP FTW, ampMAXXXXX and all that.

Thks Ranger. I know AMP is not so big on game mechanics as ERA and I hope it stays that way.

I think there's a flaw in the argument that game mechanics > role-playing, and that is that this game is all about role-playing and game mechanics are only there to provide rules for the role-play. Believe it or not in RL I am not a member of the communist party, I don't spend half my life fighting wars in foreign countries, and I don't work in a commune. I'm also guessing that in RL you are not called 'Ranger Bob', you don't work in a company that makes gifts out of diamonds, and that in RL neither of us are field marshalls. This game IS role-playing, if role-playing is sidelined what's the point of playing?

The policy is specifically articulated as "Winning the game > Roleplaying". Well, if you're not role-playing how do you define winning? I'm willing to bet that my idea of 'winning' this game and yours are very different in some key areas. That is because our respective roleplays are different, meaning different in-game value system meaning different definition of 'the win'.

We have not got one single former ADP member that I am aware of. I posted a sanctuary article that was destroyed by a troll so I took back the offer.

ACP got the ADP members and they will lose the ADP members when Bren retakes the ALP and renames it etc. Basically those people will return to ADP.

AMP will lose no one.

Chris you can argue semantics, I can argue them too but the points I made are all valid in the context they are given. 🙂

Further-more I am noticing a severe lack of response from the other two party presidents.....
