My Cabinet List for January - and why I have chosen them.

Day 774, 00:26 Published in Australia Australia by Timeoin

The last article I published listed what I aimed to achieve in each of the departments if I am elected as Australian Prime Minister. Below is the list of people that I have asked to help me to achieve these aims. I believe that these people are more than capable of meeting the tasks that have been set to them.

Deputy Prime Minister: Cerridwen Voeland.
Ministers of Foreign Affairs: Newt Gingrich and Mark Sanchez (Deputy: Aussie Bloke )
Ministers of Defence: Ezekiel Thomas and sir_Constant (Deputies: Schoft, Binda33, Dean Kong )
Minister of Information: Brenflakes (Deputy: Arfman )
Minister of Industry: John Sykes (Deputy: Adam Creedy😉
Minister of Finance: Dark Vorodor (Deputy: Gercon Bonn😉.
Minister of Cultural Services: Br0adside ( Deputy: Paul Hamon)
Minister of Immigration, Customs and Security: Xavier Darkmyre. (Deputy: Majester )

Australian Military Marshal: Mack Craft.
Dropbears Marshal: Schoft
ACUK Marshal: Binda33
AAR Marshal: Calbe

* Position to be confirmed.

Reasons they have been chosen:

First of all, you may notice that a lot of the Ministerial positions (with 2 exceptions) are people that have had previous Cabinet experience. This is not due to any wish to keep an "old guard" (so to speak) of cabinet members. Instead, it is in order to prive the opportunity for active members of the Australian community to show their cabinet potential, whilst gaining valuable experience under the watchful eye of a cabinet veteran.

Deputy Prime Minister:
Cerri has proven countless times that she will do anything to help this country, and I have lost count of the contributions that she has made to this country. Not only this, but she has experience as Prime Minister. For these reasons, I chose her to be my deputy.

Foreign Affairs:
I have seen both Newt Gingrich and Mark Sanchez work as Ministers of Foreign Affairs in the past. They both did a really good job when they last worked together as co-Ministers, and having them both in this position means that we are not left weak from a Foreign Affairs standpoint. As well as this, due to the fact that they both live in completely different timezones in Real Life, they should be more than capable of compensating for differing timezones of our allies. Their deputy, Aussie Bloke, has spent a great deal of time being an Ambassador to other countries, and has also worked as an Intern to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. To make him deputy is the next logical step for him, and it really is just a formalisation for the hard work he has already done in this department.

Defence:
Both Ezekiel Thomas and Sir_C0nstant have had previous experience as Minister of Defence, and I'm confident that they will both rise to the occasion and serve extremely ably as Ministers of Defence. The deputy ministers of Defence are, with one exception, the current Marshals. There is a good reason why I have chosen it this way. The reason being that I am committed to improving the Defence Department. For this reason, I am extending the authority of the Marshals to deputy minister of Defence as well, to give them greater flexibility to make changes towards improving their particular military divisions. Dean Kong has been appointed as Deputy Minister of Defence in order to help Calbe with the AAR, due to the natural difficulties of lower retention rates and larger numbers of people in that division.

Information:
As was stated in my last article, I believe that the Minister of Information should be someone who is willing to stand up to Cabinet, and report them if they are doing the wrong thing. For this reason, I have chosen Brenflakes to the position of Minister of Information. Recently, as seen in the Inspector Generals section of the forums, he has been reporting cabinet and prime ministerial abuses of power, and this is the sort of action that I believe is critical for the Minister of Information. Mind you, it is also important for the Minister of Information be unbiased, and I believe that Brenflakes fulfils this criterion as well. His deputy, Arfman, has also proven that he has a knack for understanding government policies and for report writing, and I believe that he is a great choice for the deputy position.

Industry:
Sykes has a long history of experience in Industry at a business level, both as the CEO of the Eucalyptus Group (which at one stage featured many notable citizens from around the world as board members). Not only that, but he was also the person who wrote the Eucalyptus Handbook, a series of articles that explained, in depth, just about every aspect of playing the game. John has some very good ideas about how to lead the country forward with its businesses, and I am very much looking forward to working with him this month.

Finance:
For Finance, I have chosen Dark Vorodor to be the Minister of Finance. Vorodor has been Minister of Finance in the past, and has gained a lot of experience in this department. For this reason, he is more than capable of bringing the Australian Dollar back to the reasonable levels that it was before the Brazillian invasion started. he is also experienced at allocating reasonable budgets for cabinet departments as well, and doing all the other minor tasks that are required from the Minister of Finance. In short: Vorodor knows about money, and is a good choice for this department.

Cultural Services:
Br0adside has been chosen as Minister of Cultural services because he is dedicated towards increasing messaging newer players and giving them information about what services are available to them. Not only that, but he is also dedicated towards bringing back the cultural aspect into Australia. He is going to do this by setting up an official eAustralian Sports Academy, and running eSports and other competitions this month. Moreover, he has the experience to do this job, having done it in the past. As for Paul Hamon, his work in contacting newer players whilst he was party president of the Procreate and Populate Party more than prove that he knows how to get players more involved in the game.

Immigrations, Customs and Security:
As I said in my last article, this month there will be no significant changes to their portfolio, as such. They will be responsible for making sure that this country is not subjected to a Political Take Overs or other threats. To this end, I have selected Xavier Darkmyre to be the Minister, and Majester as the deputy. Both of these members might be new to this particular department, but I am confident that both will do the job well. Xavier has been in cabinet several times in the past, and knows what to look out for when accepting citizenships, and Majester is active and keen to give cabinet a go, and for this reason, I believe it would be worthwhile giving him a deputyship in this department.
