Businessman and Wounded Soldier [GOV]
Chucky Norris
This is an article in respond to Hb741 latest publication.
The CAF has been called a faillure and an economic saboteur.
Fine. But let me educate our population on what is the real deal.
First of all I would like to tell you what happened. In a joint operation with many of our allies we moved to the US with 300 valourous Canadian to stand agaisnt the evil hordes of Phoenix. However the fight was hard, very hard. We had to fight down to 50 wellness to give everything we had. We gave and it all and I'm very proud of what our boys, and girls, did today. A lot of nation have also told us we made a good job. But what was it all for? FREEDOM. Not ours, but other nation that are being oppressed, we might have lost but at least we tried with our very best to win this fight.
However there is a cost to this, our soldier bought tons of weapons and several of them have spended a few gold just in order to share weapon with their comrade and ensure that everyone would be well armed. We all had high quality weapon and did more than what we usually do in terms of damage. There is a also another cost to this, and it's in term of productivity, most naturally businessman are going to pay a part of this cost. I have a company so I take this personnal lost and I don't mind if soldier take one day to reccuperate. However we recommend soldier to give a part of their salary if they work at half wellness. Or to work in ennemy company. But it's not always happening and quite frankly, these soldiers are still humans, controlling 300 humans to stricly follow recommendation is near to impossible.
And we should all ask ourself some questions:
Is this man a traitor?
Canadian troop returning from the front (disguised as American for this U.S. operation)
Should we leave him behind so he don't comeback in Canada and work for a Canadian businessman?
Canadian troop retreating after the end of the attack.
So all I'm asking is to have a little bit of respect for these soldier and this institution. We're throwing a huge amount of time into this army so it can be effective, and this apply to every single soldier. Our soldier are following a Code of Conduct and are at 100% behind their country. You might question the current government or the past one for certain of their policy, charisma or party affiliation. But these people are bleeding out on the battlefield everyday so that we can be known as a valourous nation and they all share a common goal, ensuring that this nations prosper!

o7 As a businessman myself, I often give my employees one day of leeway especially for just such circumstances.
We greatly appreciate the CAF help in Kyushu.
Hail Canada!
😁 Hail the brolliance!
There was a recent proposal to have the CAF and the Canadian government only purchase from Canadian companies. I wonder if that should be expanded to exclude those who refuse to have a wounded soldier working for them. Support our troops! They put it all out on the line for you, our country, and our allies! Cut them a little slack and give them a sick day once in a while.
I lost 5 gold to do this battle. I did 5 + 10 fights during two days for a total of 3,517 of damage. My Canadian platoon did over 8,200 damage to help the USA. Me and my platoon are glad and proud to help the Marines and the USA.
Please gentlemen, lets stick together.
As a Canadian citizen I support the CAF. As a business owner I support the CAF. As a Congressman I support the CAF. As the leader of the Canadian Paradox Party I support the CAF.
Please, let's all support the CAF.
Yes, thank you Canada for your efforts. True bros!
o/ CAF
Without the CAF we'd all be running our business' in occupied France.
I wish that was hyperbole. We all know it's not.
Without CAF spending many businesses will fail. Some people should think of this before ranting otherwise live with being blacklisted by soldiers (I personally try to work for government companies and I don't buy goods from 'certain' companies).
Good article, Chucky.
Worked today at 50 Wellness but for only 2 CAD. I think it's a deal...
i would never take away from what the CAF does. they are of course part of e-canada just like everybody else.
i've always had a policy of contacting caf soldiers when they quit to let them know they are welcome back to the company when they finish their mission. also if they need to be fired i always respond asap.
in return they have always returned some of their wage if they have to work at low wellness (to my break even point on the actual production which they are free to calculate themselves to maintain absolute fairness)
its not alot to ask and gives everybody a fair chance in this GAME.
I really think that we should consider implementing mandatory platoon controlled companies. It'd just make everything so much easier for firing and...this.

The solution seems obvious.
CAF soldiers - while in the service of State should be employed ONLY in the CAF Supply Chain.
If there are not enough CAF companies to accomodate this then more should be created - and kept OUT of the national markets.
CPF Inc occasionally employs CAF members and I don't squawk one iota about it. They need firing? I drop whatever I am doing and fire them - its for my benefit, and national interests that they fight for.
In the end analysis, it appears as tho the Free Markets are being asked to absorb the side effects of State action - and that is wrong.
Voted HARD. As a CAF member, whenever I work at less than 90 wellness I refund 100% of my wage. Running a business is hard work, and when a business owner takes the time to help you by firing you whenever you ask, they deserve something back too. Hail eCan GMs! o7
Thanks for the support everyone. It really helps to know we have support back home when we're fighting overseas, dealing with difficult foreign employers and media, and spending our own Gold on foreign wars.
It's great when you find those understanding employers back home (a big shout out, in particular, to NYTA Holdings and NYTA Self Defense)!
CAF soldiers - while in the service of State should be employed ONLY in the CAF Supply Chain
That is a double edged sword as there would be less weapons and moving tickets purchased on the open market as well as the raw materials and more skilled workers removed from the labour pool, not sure that is what you seek.
Well, the military should be self sufficient, like it is in rl.
I am a rl gun owner, and would be alarmed to see a Canadian Infantryman standing next to me at the gun shop waiting in line to buy ammo.
As we all know...
Weapons prices skyrocket in high war activity times.
This is good for Weapons manufacturers - myself included.
However, it hurts the overall war effort as less wealthy civilians are priced out of the market and are forced to fight with their bare hands, which obviously reduces the nation's ability to secure a military objective in which the civilian population is party to.
Well said chucky!
Well, can we agree that the current system may not be perfect?
Also, please quantify how such an endeavor would be disasterous.
Clearly it has not been done, so there is not a model to refer to in support of a "disaster theory".
As a result, what is your theory why the CAF being completely self sufficient would be disasterous?
i can see the good point of complete self sufficiency in that of regulated government costs (fluctuations in any market would be ignored by caf companies staffed with caf staff)
however the bad side as jake said would be the entirety of the CAF being taken out of the active labour pool. as we already have an over supply of companies this could cause trouble.
In that case, the supply of jobs would far outweigh the supply of workers.
Tell me, are the Rangers self sufficient?
Economic harmonization in regard to state labour in Free Markets would lead to a more balanced economy - separating the good GMs from the poor ones. This would establish a balance in the job market. Sure, some GMs would have to shutter their companies, but they would also be forced back into the labour market themselves - and have an opportunity to learn from GMs who know how to operate a company in a responsible fashion.
Also, with a dearth of labour in the initial stage in any such initiative, the minimum wage would have to be addressed - would it not?
As a business owner I do NOT want to see the CAF removed from the pool of workers available to me. They all understand wellness perfectly, and I don't need to tutor them on anything.
They're good workers, and better fighters, cut them some slack.
Interesting Tyler F Durden, in what way is the RL Canadian Armed Forces, self sufficient? Every nickel spent on the military comes from tax revenue.
In RL, soldiers don't spend their time working in the companies that produce all of their kit. Soldiers don't make boots, uniforms, guns, missiles, MREs, tanks, submarines... etc. Soldiers in RL have a full time job, being soldiers. In RL, every nickel spent on supplies and equipment goes to a private company, fulfilling a Government contract.
As I stated in a much longer comment on the article that provoked this one, the economic damage done by pulling all those CAF soldiers out of the economy, would be massive. I would also point out, that the economic output of 1 soldier, isn't sufficient to equip that soldier for combat daily.
So, we should cripple our economy, and dramatically reduce the fighting capacity of our armed forces as a means to wastefully spend more tax money? Just to avoid the occasional slight inconvenience to private company owners?

CAF members are welcome to work for She Said Industries and it's subsidiaries after getting down to 40 or 50 wellness. It's a small price to pay for what are otherwise ideal workers.
Thank you for your work Goran.
I am set to start a new work week and am heading to bed.
Bear in mind I didn't start this debate, but I do think that some changes can be made to alleviate the effect on the free market by state activity.
It should also be noted that the Crimson Canucks have been able to grow while being completely self sufficient. Then again, I won't speak for the CC, but there very may well be a disparity in wages between the two entities...
I confess, I do not know the inner workings of the CAF, and nobody really can except those who do it - because for the most part they never change.
However I have run several companies at once with CPF Inc and am fully aware of the benefits of operating a completely self sufficient multi-faceted organization.
I suppose with the new addition to CPF Inc - the CPF Army, I will learn even more about how to employ, pay, supply and facilitate all required variables of an active fighting force.
Certainly that can't be a bad thing. Nonetheless, there is an issue here - and we shouldn't be all attacking eachother in defense of our own ideas for no other reason than that they are our own ideas.
🙂
Regards,
Tyler F Durden
The CC are well organised I'll give you this however...
They couldnt run 4-5 missions a week. And wouldnt be able to afford the MT neither the higher q guns for a few missions.
You need a CAD printing Machine to back this up. And no matter how much we supply ourself we'll never be on the same level as other armies.
Well, we could categorize the CAF into dedicated industrial platoons...FMs & Generals for weapons, Colonels for MTs, Captains for Gifts, etc...
A world of possibilities.
What these independent and hopefully Party Armies can do is microcosm such experiments, so that the CAF does not have to incur the effect of tinkering on its own - as it has more important things to do.
🙂
"Without the CAF we'd all be running our business' in occupied France.
I wish that was hyperbole. We all know it's not."
Exactly...
I work at 39 or so wellness and get a free Q1 food from my boss... I think he likes me! PROMOTION!
I work for hb741 and I am also a member of the CAF. I can totally understand both sides. I totally agree with Cucky Norris about the one day to reccuperate. But it´s I think in this case there went something totally wrong, I think the soldiers that worked for hb741 on a low wellnes are just stupid. I can imagine what they thought...
Like "Oh there is a company whose Org is not located in Canada, let´s crush his business..."
So I can also totally understand hb741 when he is mad about the CAF giving orders to sabotage enemie companies without defining them.
So I think the main problem was the CAF giving such orders...
The CAF didn't give such orders. It was suggested that if you can't find a job with a company you know, (as in CAF friendly companies known to soldiers to be welcoming) then work for a company controlled by an enemy. Yes it sounds like some individuals made a mistake in hb741's case but wouldn't it have been prudent to handle it tactfully one on one, and recuperating those over-payments than writing an article calling all of the CAF economic terrorists?

Umm... you guys know this is just an Internet game, right?
