Jewitt Elected President of the United States



The people of the eUnited States have elected Jewitt to be their President in a surprising race. He carried 2056 votes to defeat incumbent Josh Frost’s 1714. Herrn Sterling was unable to get off the ballot and pulled in 304 votes. Don Keedick, the only candidate besides Jewitt to select national goals, received 301, and Greg 454 pulled in 85. President Jewitt admitted that he expected Josh Frost to be soundly reelected and originally ran to be a viable second-place in the event of an impeachment. Jewitt is a former Vice President, under Gaius Julius, and was the Secretary of the Treasury in the Frost administration. You can read his inaugural address here.

National Goals

eRepublik introduced a new mechanics, the National Goals, after this election. According to the mechanics, our countries current goals are to have a population of 23322 citizens and a GDP of 3744 Gold on Day 776 of the New World. We also need to be in control of London and Northern Ireland. These conflict with the national goals of the United Kingdom, who also want control over those regions on Day 776. The Hungarian nation is devoted to conquering Banat, Crisana, Maramures, and Transilvania, Romania. Romania, in turn, wants to conquer Heilongjiang, a Hungarian region of Chinese origin. Iran may be looking to conquer Balochistan, Pakistan, while the Russian nation is pursuing a monumental endeavor to conquer Hamgyong, North Korea.



United States Declaring War on Japan

The President proposed a war declaration to Japan which is currently being voted on in Congress. The details which are public at this time have been discussed by Jewitt in his most-recent article. While Japan is obviously not the United Kingdom, it is an island nation with inhabitants who speak a different variant of English than we do.

Americans should prepare themselves and keep a careful watch on the DoD orders. Kyushu, the only Japanese region which shares a border with the United States, at Hawai’i, has a Q5 defense system and a population of 222 as of press time. Citizens should not rely on gun distribution from the government.



Update on the Spanish Invasion of France

The Spanish invasion of Rhone Alps, France’s other high-wood region, has been successful. There will likely be market repercussions throughout former PEACE GC nations. France now has mutual protection pacts with Russia and Italy which have not been activated yet. Spain has not attacked any new regions. France now controls 15 regions, and seven French regions are under Spanish control.



United States Training Corps

The United States Training Corps, the entry point for higher branches of the United States military, is still taking new recruits. Home Guard, Mobile Infantry, Army – they all get their start in the Training Corps. Anyone with aspirations of an eUS military career should start at this spreadsheet:
