DA Bid for Senate

Day 732, 17:05 Published in Australia Australia by Derek Apollyon

This is my official bid for a Senate Seat in Northern Territory.

I can also assure you that this is different from other platforms you might have read by now. So without further adieu, I present the things I hope to achieve while in the Senate:

1. Non-Elected Senate Supervisor
I hope most of you reading my article now are familiar with the concept I proposed in two parts: Voxpop: A New Democratic System and Voxpop: Details Revealed. I fully intend on running for the position to oversee the trial run of this very important step in the development of accountability of our Senators (who better to run the trial then the designer? 😛 ).

2. A hospital for South Australia
I know SA already has a hospital, I'm just using this as a example of the type of promise that I won't make. For months we had people running in SA who said that they'd place a hospital there before their term was up, yet it wasn't until very recently that it finally got one. I'm not going to promise anything that I don't believe is doable.

3. Accountability
I swear (in a good way) to be accountable to you, the voters of eAustralia; but Democracy is a two-way road, I can't represent you if you don't talk to me and give me your views on the issues facing eAustralia.

4. Street-smarts
I've been around this game for over a year now (having held various roles in both the Executive and Legislative branches of the government), so I think it'd be a understatement to say that I know my way around Parliament. I always endeavour to approach every issue from a logical and analytical perspective.

Other
In light of my current membership of ERA, I am thankful to Xavier Darkmyre for allowing me maintain my membership on the ADSP forums (alongside my ERA access) and also for his allowing me to run under the ADSP colours for Senate with the intention of changing back to ERA afterwards.

So in conclusion I will just hope you weigh my previous actions/experience, and if you see me as a asset to the Senate, vote for me on election day.
