[YUUVA] Primary Poll Concludes, Winner Announced.

Day 1,957, 19:59 Published in India Canada by Alias Vision

The thing about large parties is that all the decisions made are magnified. In the case of a CP race in a small country, the decisions of every party hold a lot of weight. So in India for Yuuva, it is a perfect storm of responsibility and perception.

One of the things I felt was important to implement as PP of the party was the concept of primary selections where the chance would be given to the membership to choose who they wanted to be a candidate. My goal was to reduce the impact a leader's bias can have and encourage a sense of collegiality in the party. The more members are part of the decision making process, the more they are likely to develop a sense of belonging and the more they are likely to remain and be productive citizens.

So on the 25th I announced the start of the CP race in Yuuva with a deadline to be included in the CP Primary Poll of the 27th. Much to my surprise, only myself and a new citizen by the name of Srinjoy Sarkar signed up.

NOTE: I know I'm going to get some flak on this but that is why articles have been published the past two months with the dates listed so that anyone who wishes has a chance. Also the process is made to conclude early to give a maximum amount of time for all candidates to properly campaign in all other parties.

The poll was scheduled to close on Day 1956 at 04:00 Game Time but was extended another 24 hrs to give a maximum number of Yuuva members a chance to vote.

In total 21 members chose to participate in the process. The choices were: Alias Vision, Srinjoy Sarkar and None/Neutral.

The final tally and winner with the backing of 71% of Yuuva electors is Alias Vision. Srinjoy Sarkar finished the poll with 14% support on his first try in the political arena.

Thank you to the Party and members who took the time to vote. I have spoken in the past about the privilege of being given chances... and this is important as I believe it to be a privilege indeed and not a right... I hope to represent you well in the days and weeks to follow.

Good night!
