[WYD] Congrats vigorious, and thank-you eIndia for the fish (Day 1884)
Addy Lawrence
Forward...
Congratulations to vigorious on his PP election victory in India United.
On my thoughts of the India United PP election...
Interesting.
Over 15 votes were cast for vigorious in the final three hours of the election. Clearly there was a block of votes acting as one. Not sure where from though, over 35 votes had already been cast in the United India PP election, a high turnout rate for a party PP election.
Party membership grew from 49 to 61 on election day.
51 votes were cast in the India United PP election, pretty fantastic when there were only 49 members when the day started.
36 votes were cast in the Yuuva PP election, and there are 88 members. Just over a 1/3 turnout.
Clearly, the powers that be in eIndia do not want me to be PP of a party.
I accept my failure to integrate into eIndian society. Thank you for your consideration.
I will now ponder my next move.
Denouement
India is a very interesting place. It is a tight knit community, with a strong demographic of people who share a lot of their personal information. This isn't how I play the game, and my style of game, although respected by quite a few players in this country, is not aligned with how the majority of the player community plays. That is fine, I accept it, and I will move on.
Who's your daddy?
Addy's your daddy!!!

As i said in private.
Give it time Addy....eIndia is in a lot of turmoil. Give it a little more time.
It seems that you are not surprised by this result.
@Addy
A lot of countries play this way. In Bulgaria there are regular RL meetings among players, maybe at least 600-700 of the players have met each other in RL. This is also true of many other countries.
For the USA and Canada, this is much harder to do for obvious reasons, but in the European countries especially and South America too, RL meetings and generally communication which is outside the anonymous beep game structure is very common.
Actually I wouldn't mind meeting Canadian guys playing the game from Toronto, but have never seen anything of the sorts been proposed so.....
Addy. It's time to come home.
eRichar😛 it's cause we don't invite you.
v
Addy, dude, dont simply assume foul play if you lost. give it time, as it takes time to win trust and votes of people. Also the last 3 hours are kind of the peak time in India (1😇0 AM to 1:30 PM), where a lot of members vote.
btw, i do remember the tally stood at 26-20 at the beginning of counting and changed to 26-19 at the end of it. That points to something else I guess 😉
eRichard is a hero... Vlad was a hero... clearly Addy is a villain.
I don't get it.
Brother, give it a little more time....
bro,its a common sight in eIndia,a hard burst of votes around the end of time,it is common,I wonder why isnt the military as organised as this,but hey,it is eIndia right,its gotta have at least one flaw like the great India has in politics : P
It's simple for me.
I voted for Addy as PP because he bothered to write an article asking for votes and also explained what he would do when he was PP - most of which was pro-CoT. I didn't vote for any of the others based on the fact that they never wrote an article, nor even PM'd me, or said anything in the feed.
Of the other candidates, I was impressed by the record of Rahul k who appears to be a very experienced campaigner.
I would not have voted for vigorius as India needs experience, and vigorius is less than e3 months old. He also doesn't even have a newspaper. vigorious was elected because people didn't want addy elected, and those that voted were not even members of the party the day before the vote.
I think you people need to grow up and mature a little. Why? Because while this style of business suits the nature of business in eIndia, it's not the kind of communication skills you will need in CoT. Communication works both ways I'm afraid
Come back home.
When a party's membership goes up 25% on election day it is pretty clear what is happening.
🙁 addy is a serious person with clear mind
I find it hilarious that I need to stay in eIndia longer to build trust before people will support me. I lost the PP election to vigorious who was eborn AFTER I arrived in eIndia. How does that make sense?
I can see a lot of votes arriving at server reset due to that being a peak time in RL India but it is very odd that all of the votes when vigorious' way when up to that point it was me earning 50% of the vote and vigorious earning 25%, the balance being splits amongst all of the other candidates.
No sour grapes on my part, just an eye opener.
^-- That about explains it.
If I'm not mistaken vigorous is an older player who has returned to the game. If that is the case then it could explain things.
@light
That's your prerogative...
eCanada beckons Addy.
Without the words being said, there was a strategic vote to keep Addy out of power.....
It can be denied, but it happened.
I agree with Treian - 100%
Addy I commend you for the efforts you made here.
@eRichard Parker;
So if I abandoned my citizen account and started up new again, I would be more credible. That does not make sense.
I have always played this game through one account, Addy Lawrence, and that is how it will stay. There is more honour in that than in hiding behind numerous citizen accounts or a series of citizen accounts.
sorry addy. we have certainly had our differences, but I couldn't agree with you more on this point: You were blocked.
Enjoy a new life elsewhere, eIndia is actually loosing one of their best and most vocal supporters today.
I guess outsiders are never really welcome (unless bulgarian for some idiotic reason) in eIndia. I fear that the country is now, more then ever, bound to fail.
You will be missed.
@Addy / Roger, Vigorious is an active an experienced player. Don't think that he is a noob / inexperienced by his citizen level. He is known in IRC as "deadley".. Try to understand one piece of our culture -- you don't make scathing attack on people to make others vote for you. We see that daily in our RL politics and most of them who play the game here hate such politics.
Positives on his side: He helps newbies in understanding the game, gives them food and weapons. He is a great trader and financial stalwart. He is a mature guy in RL.
Positives on your side: you are an experienced campaigner and a mature player. You have tanked for eIndia.
Your MU's acceptance in India itself created a huge ripple here. You are here only for the past 3 months and you want ppl to accept you immediately. Indians did voted for u, didn't they?
The result may be unfair for you. Show that you have perseverance, patience and the inclination for what it takes to be here and have our permanent respect. It's easy to say people don't like you. Come some time to IRC as promised in your PP campaign. You will see the difference. BTW, you employ a lot of ppl here so why lose your hope.
to give you a an example, hamturk was a CP so was alector and both are not RL indians. We may have difference of opinion with them and they may not like many of ppl here but that does not take away the respect for them.
Chill addy it take some time to win the trust of other country's players
You are most welcome in forward bloc party and i will vote for you as PP in next term. 🙂
Citizenneel doesn't like me? : O
Anyway... No surprise the multies were used again to stop someone with plans for change coming to power.
@hammy, if i say i like u, u will take me as gay and make advances towards me...better i abstain from answering this. 😛
you have my respect hamturk even though u r a troll 😃
Addy dont take this election result as a negative. There are too many supporters for you. As for deadley he is too active for newbies and helps them out during battles and in other ways. That is an obvious reason for people to vote for him. Take it as a positive and try again next time, you will definitely win.
@Bharmal;
It's not that I lost, its the way I lost. There is a power block of multies in eIndia and they don't want me, nor my colleagues in UAgg, to succeed here. We saw it in each of the past two congress elections and we saw it on PP election day.
I am in someone else's sandbox and I am okay with leaving it for them to enjoy. There are plenty of other sandboxes out there where people want me to join.
@citizen;
I didn't want people to immediately like me. I worked hard for two months. I ran an article writing contest. I have over 170 eIndian employees who earn $27 a day working for me and I donate food and weapons to them to, through pm, not IRC, but it still counts.
My conduct over the past four months speaks to my patience and perseverance. My accomplishments in other countries speak to my potential and credibility. When 25 "new citizens" generate more enthusiasm than an powerful and mature MU of 30 citizens, who buy gold and possess many GoWs, then obviously there is a problem.
No need to try and force a square peg into a round hole.
Hmmm
Mysterious are the ways of the destiny.
"When 25 "new citizens" generate more enthusiasm than an powerful and mature MU of 30 citizens, who buy gold and possess many GoWs, then obviously there is a problem."
Actually in my view, the problem (long term ) would be when the reverse will hold true. 25 new citizens surely generate more enthusiasm since it points towards the growth of eIndian community. While travelling teams of 30 rich (gold) and powerful players if great, at the end of it, they are travelers and just like they traveled to eIndia, they will sure as hell travel from eIndia too. Most New players though may have months if not years before they succumb to the same wanderlust .. 🙂
So as I said before, do not assume foul play if you lost out to another player in the 1st run. And if your first impulse is to move on after a loss (and for the sake of argument, lets assume it was a staged loss), then are you not just validating the 1st para of my comment.. Stick around and prove me wrong mate. No one will be happier than me
lol @ Graf Sprat, your comment was the best joke of the entire comment section.
@Roger.. Why ?
"Stick around and prove me wrong mate"
I have nothing to prove to you, I only have to prove things to myself. I am responsible for my own actions, that's it.
I have deliberately gone about a series of actions over four months in eIndia that has culminated in the conclusion that I do not fit in here. This is not a sleight against eIndia nor myself, we just don't fit.
Asking me to stick around to prove something to you is silly. I paid the price of a pound of flesh and to be candid, it wasn't worth it. I will not pay another pound.

Okie Dokie.. Have a good one then..
