Greetings, fellow citizens of the eRepublik!

Today, I am pleased to introduce you all to the new WeRepublik, WeThePeople’s new party newspaper! I am excited to serve as the newspaper’s editor-in-chief and look forward to working with fellow WTP writers as we usher in a bright new era in eMedia.

Our mission in creating this news hub is to provide relevant news to both WTP’s constituents and the eUSA community as a whole while stimulating the creation of quality media (especially among our party’s writers).

In future editions of WeRepublik, you can expect to see war coverage in addition to general political news and party updates; I also anticipate the inclusion of a healthy dose of more entertaining (less srs bsns) components, so keep your eyes peeled for fun contests and other events!

Even if you’re not interested in an official writing position with WTP’s party newspaper, I would strongly encourage you to consider issues relevant to your fellow eCitizens and offer up your own perspectives on the eWorld around you, within your own media space.

Country President election results

WeThePeople would like to congratulate our new Country President, Gnilraps, who only a few days prior won our party’s PotUS primary election. Gnilraps has assembled a strong team that hopes to revive domestic activity and increase the fun factor in the eUSA. We look forward to the month ahead as the Executive continues down the path that led us from wipe to charter membership in Sirius and from declining population and economy to steady growth.

We also congratulate (and are extremely excited for) the good work to come from The People in this month’s cabinet: Secretary of Education Cholan II, NSC Deputy dmjohnston, DoI Deputy Ioanys, and Deputy Chief of Staff Mazzy Cat. Those interested in joining them in government leadership can fill out a job application here.

Money talk

Meow! Kitty here! As some of you are probably not aware, WTP has a fair bit of cash. Approximately 68k CC, in fact. This money has sat there. It has collected dust. DUST, I TELL YOU! That’s just no good. What’s the point of having money if we aren’t putting the money to use? Currently, party leadership is discussing ways to spend this money to help out our newer players. Any ideas are welcome either in comments or via PM (to leadership).

I’d also like to take this moment to point out that while that is a good chunk of change, donations are always welcome and will be put forward to help fellow players. Weapons of lower quality that you just don’t use. CC that you can spare. They help. I do ask for no donations of food currently, as WTP makes its own Q5 food in my Whiskas factory.

Party President elections

Party President nominations will be opened tomorrow in the WeThePeople board of the eUSA forum and will run for 48 hours. Any valid member of WeThePeople who receives and accepts at least two nominations is eligible to run for party presidentship. If you are a member of WTP with a forum account but can’t see the boards, please request access here. After the 48 hour nomination period is over, we will hold a 48-hour voting period to choose our next party president. Come join us and make your voice be heard!
