Yes, the Breakfast Club. Why did I include this? Our existing community struggles through the hard times, deals with judgement and turmoil internally and externally; we are quite aware of what we’re going through. But at the end of the day it's about uniting against the man to show him he can’t knock us down because we’ll get right back up and keep on fighting, together.

In my cabinet article I alluded to an explanation of what I think keeps chickenguys in this game. I will not presume to know everything about why he sticks around because as far as I know, he has no friends in eUSA. So what did he do? He sought sanctuary elsewhere. Where did he end up? Pakistan, Serbia, now Canada...places he knew that would idolize his anti-eUSA, idgaf attitude. Why is this important?

He sought community. We’re all human. We all need our egos stroked and told we’re doing a good job. The avenues in which we seek this satisfaction is not going to be the same. But in his case he truly made an outcast of himself. His reputation precedes him. He has continued this path and that is what suits him. What’s the problem? No one wants him. That’s unfortunate and he could care less I’m sure.

What does this have to do with me running for the Party Presidency?

Again: Community. Big or small, ridiculous or necessary, or ridiculously necessary; its all about what's fun, right? What keeps our interest in this game? Is it the Plato bashing? Is it the RL fueled animosity towards others? Is it the personal rewards we receive on our citizen profile? Do we enjoy paying Plato our money instead of buying a new Steam or Xbox/PS3 game or taking our gf on a date?

Personally, my time has been spent more here these past 6 months as opposed to playing the Steam games and Xbox games I used to frequent. Why erepublik? For me it evolves, new strategies come up, and I try to make the best of the game. There is always a new dynamic to either poke fun at or overcome. Plato is the king of controversy and at any time its convenient we’ll take a swing at him! You cannot do this in a console game. All you can do with a console or PC game is become frustrated or bored with it. Most games have the same thing to replay over and over. Erepublik does not have an ending point unless you quit the game entirely. The game actually offers new life if you’re determined to make it happen. Even after eDeath, take a break, when you reboot (reborn) its almost entirely anew. Where else can you log into a game that is a MMORPG, its relatively easy to manage and its suitable for work? (if you disguise it well enough haha!)



Anyways, back to what I can do for the Federalist Party. I have a few different plans to execute in several different departments that centers around what keeps a player in erepbulik. After being the SHIELD Commanding Officer for 4 months I believe I can get two clickers more active while recruiting new players who are chomping at the bit to get involved with the erepublik community. My strong suit isn’t predicated on making a number or gathering all the eBabies that I can amass in one month. Its seeking out what already exists in this community and getting it to participate more.

The Federalist party has dropped in capacity the past few months from 403 members to its current 356. We can speculate all day about the decline, but I would rather look ahead and see what programs are currently running and try to enhance them while finding the right people to put in place to incite activity again. What sort of plans would I have for the Federalist Party if I was elected Party President?



A Federalist buddy system. Instead of the FedEx Director just mass messaging people every other day I want to try a system of consistent interaction that provides bite size information. This will work in tandem with our Retention Department. How do we do this? We have our active meta members buddy up with Federalist members who don’t read the in game media every day, who don’t visit the eUSA forums to find out what is going on with their tax money. In an MU there are regiment captains who relay orders from the CO. My idea is to have party leaders pick a handful of people from the party ranks and provide them information from the top while also cluing them in on what they’re missing. The opportunity to get our current Feds more knowledge in smaller bits is not to overwhelm them, but show them there is more to this game than a couple clicks a day. How do I know this will work? I can only try. A great example of this success was our regiment captains of SHIELD brought to life at least 25% more of the MU to engage in Joint Strikes and contests. I dare you. Ask a SHIELD member what he/she thinks of the SHIELD MU.



Well, that’s great for SHIELD and all, WookyJack, but what about recruiting new players? I have yet to name it, but a Federalist recruitment incentive program is what I have in mind. SHIELD MU thrived on incentives to instigate activity. This proved consistently successful because we even gathered other MUs to join us in Joint Strikes and build great relationships with foreign and domestic players. The rewards were bringing in other fighters from other eUSA MUs and even from the eWorld. They’re there. Don’t believe me? Look for yourself. Not all are eUSA cs.
My recruitment team will be providing incentives to its current members to get out there and recruit people to come to the Feds. What are the prizes? I have food, moving tickets, Q7 tanks, and yes, even Houses to reward our recruiters. I believe Leo and I can achieve this initiative. Hell, if recruiters get a Federalist member to become a full member in SHIELD I will personally reward this person with cc and gold. The details will need to be ironed out of course, but I feel my word is good enough to trust and my constituents will vouch for me. I even want to see our recruiters get new/old Feds into Federalist jobs.
