[WHPR] Logic, Passion, and America's Test

A little bit of motivation, if you will.
"The theory of competition says, ‘just because they're the strong doesn't mean they can't get their kicked’.
That's right. See, what every long shot, come from behind, underdog will tell ya is this: The other guy may in fact be the favorite, the odds may be stacked against you. Fair enough. But what the odds don't know is, this isn't a math test. This is a completely different kind of test.
One where passion, has a funny way of trumping logic.
So before you step up to the starting line, before the whistle blows, and the clocks start ticking just remember: out here the results don't always add up. No matter what the stats may say and the experts may think and the commentators may have predicted, when the race is on, all bets are off.
Don't be surprised be if someone decides to flip the script and take a pass on yelling 'Uncle'.
And then suddenly as the old saying goes ...
'We’ve got ourselves a game'."

Yesterday was a bittersweet victory for us America.
The efforts of countless Americans and allies have given us our internal sovereignty back, while our external sovereignty is beset by the forces of our enemies, TWO. With the introduction of Taiwan into the war against the United States, we are now surrounded by seven fronts, and even with fifty original regions, we cannot hold out against them for long. The coming days will be filled with defeats and setbacks, as the majority of our regions fall out of our hands. Yet, as the full attention and might our TWO falls upon us, a silver lining permeates the darkness.

We will be wiped America. Thus is the cycle of the eWorld. Throughout our history, alliances have shifted in power, and in that rotation, we are inevitably caught in the waning. Through our world wars we have encountered situations similar to this, where hope seemed lost, and defeat seemed certain. However, this is not the truth. Hope is not lost, my friends, but rather, placed somewhere else.

The reality is, many of our allies have lived under the constant oppression of our enemies. Albania, France, Croatia, Macedonia, Bulgaria, Italy, Germany, Ireland, and more recently Russia. Countless friends and fellow citizens who have endured months upon months of their original regions being stolen from them, to fill out the bonuses of our enemies. Our victory lies not in the defeat of TWO on our soil, but in the liberation of our allies, who have stood alongside us throughout their occupations, trading it to help their allies, us.

Do not be dismayed by the invasions on our grounds. Do not falter to the childish propaganda blasted by Serbian adolescents. For we shall make them bleed for every region that they take of ours. Every American state that falls into occupation shall be one of our friends freed, an ally able to fight on another day. That the is the role of an ally, to do what is best for our friends, and in turn, have them do so for us in the future. Our allies have sacrificed their lands to protect us in the past, and the time has arrived for us to do so for them.

A nation is not defeated when it’s lands are torn from it. A nation is not a congregation of bonuses, or an empire of meaningless regions. A nation is given power, given strength, given it’s very identity by the community that flourishes within it. In the defeat of the AFA PTO, we have preserved that community, and ensured that power will last in the coming months. Yet more so, we have shown that our ability to act as one can defeat even seemingly insurmountable realities. For ten months, the AFA brought in countless enemies, and became a nuisance towards our political module. Despite the odds, we came together to defeat them.

So I urge you once more America, overcome the odds.
That’s the role of the underdog. To fight on even when the odds seem insurmountable, when the challenge seems too great, and when our defeat seems certain, because if there’s anything this game has shown us, it’s that anything can happen. So let’s make it happen.

However, comrades, the battle is not yet over. The only way that we can ensure our Congressional and Presidential elections are free of the AFA is to bolster the top five parties into a position where the newly created AFA cannot enter it.

To help with this effort, move to either the United States Workers Party[/ur], or to We The People, depending on which party is more lowly ranked.



In addition to the National Broadcasting System, the Media department would like to introduce our new Adopt a Recruitment Site program. Way back in the olden days of the eUSA, there used to be a program called REACH. It was dedicated to trying to find new ways to bring people to the game.

One of the inspirations for REACH was actually the baby boom we received after World War 3. One of the greatest motivators for bringing people to this game is apparently the threat of complete and total defeat. Thus, the executive would like to try and tap into that fervor, that enthusiasm, to bring new people here. And let’s be honest, the more people we have, the better our community becomes on the whole.

The idea behind the project is that the Whitehouse will provide recruitment links to political parties and military units, and these organizations will attempt to gather votes for these sites using their members and their communication infrastructure.

The recruitment links in question will be top gaming sites, ranking sites, things such as that, where the government will create a page on the site intended to recruit new people. Leaders of various political parties or military units will then be given these government links, and can advertise them as they choose to. They can place them in their IRC rooms, messaging threads, or whatever.

Political parties and military units are especially apt to do this because the sites generally require daily votes, and members of military units and parties are generally more active on the whole.

In return for their participation, these groups will be given the following:

1. Priority listing on Government Papers
ex. Placed first on the WHPR bottom where it lists MU recruitment links.
2. Sections of the WHPR dedicated to them
3. 50% of gold proceeds from the referrals
4. A message from the Media Department to the new citizen, notifying them of whichever organization recruited them there.

Note: Individuals will be allowed to participate in this program if they choose to, but will not be given any of the benefits listed. Unless you bring like a thousand people here. Then I’ll give you a whole damn WHPR to yourself.
