Foreign Affairs: A Look Ahead
Wild Owl

The Foreign Affairs situation of the eUSA is always in a state of flux, and we are always responding to changing tides and situations. The addition of Armenia, Cuba, Georgia and Nigeria has proved to definitely increase the player base’s interest in eRepublik and revitalised and strained many regional relationships. This is mainly due to the value of the resources each of these new regions provides.

Perhaps the nation of most interest to eUSA is Cuba. Sharing a border with Mexico, Venezuela, Portugal, USA and Spain (currently owned by Argentina), Cuba is strategically located in the Caribbean and one can expect many of these compete with each other for Cuba’s Iron. (Spain is the only neighbouring country of Cuba which has Iron, while the others may look to get their source of Iron from Oriente, Cuba). Being that it is a major point of contention it is high on the list of priorities.

Georgia, in Central Asia, may prove to be an interesting country as wll. Its rubber will be desired by Bulgaria, Russia, Turkey, Romania and Hungary and one can expect many heated campaigns in the elusive region of Abkhazia, which may end up putting strains on all three alliances.

Armenia is quieter, and as of now, can have the best start of all these countries if it plays the right cards and adopts a stable foreign policy, as Turkey already gets the bonuses that it’d get from Armenia from Iran. However, Turkey and Armenia have terrible relations in RL and if that were to impact anything in game, one may expect hostility by the two nations towards each other which will not bode well for Armenia’s future.

Nigeria, the new African addition to eRepublik, can definitely prove to be a great blessing for Argentina and Brazil. Argentina can now vacate its regions in Peru, Brazil and Bolivia and still gain all of those bonuses by holding Nigeria. This country may also prove to be Brazil’s lucky star as Brazil could be getting all of its cores back in the future. This could be especially important considering that Brazil has just applied to TETAS (South American Pact). It will definitely be interesting to see this region develop in the foreseeable future.

All of these present new possibilities and changes for the eWorld and the eUSA. Our State Department is headed by Artela and staffed by some amazing people, I look forwards to seeing the new developments in the state of our Foreign Affairs!

DOE Update
Cholan II

The eUS Education system is always working to better serve the population of new players. As such it has been going through some changes to adapt.

American University Closed for now:

American University has been closed by the Department of Education for now. However, not to fear, will be open again very soon! The reason for the closure is to provide time to make much needed updates and changes. Some of these changes will be reflected in increased ease of use and overall simplicity. With the changes, and updates; we will be needing new mentors who are interested to be part of teaching, guiding new members and making them eUSA a better place for them. New members still can apply for American University but Mentors will be assigned to them only after the maintenance. New members still can use Erica anytime if they need the Department to clear queries/doubts on something.

Personal Missions Update:

Round 1 of Personal Missions has obtained marvelous responses with more than 125 Mission Completions which is much higher than the Rounds of the previous months. We were pleastly surprised with this increase and hope the next round is as successful. Round 2 of this month will be open from May 26 and will end on June 5th. You can always access and learn more about Personal Missions here or at DoE's Official Website.

Department's Official Website:

---> Website:: http://eusa-doe.co.nr

The Department has received lots of suggestions and complaints regarding the Official Website being inactive. The DoE can assure you that it never ignores complaints and suggestions as such we have updated and modified the website which is now looking more beautiful than ever! It is built with a web building tool, the same builder used in the past since its easy to edit and add items into it. People can easily access eUSA Forums,IRC, Guides, Erica, Personal Missions and other helpful information through it. The Department is putting maximum efforts to make the site as useful as possible for all eUS Citizens. We will have members of the DoE Team maintain and update the website all the time. That being said, some parts of the website are still under completion and they will be finished very soon! As well there will be an official article from the Department will be published when its fully completed. We have also shorten the url by making use of a free domain url redirection provider so that it can be easily accessed by everyone.

We are excited to bring you some new programs and are always working hard to keep new players in the know how!! Thank you for reading.

War Map
Alexander Auctoritas

Off the European landscape, North USA is being brought back into line. The eUSA has secured three victories and is about to attack. Viva North USA!

The Baltic region is the focus of much fighting these days. Latvia is attempting to hold off Columbia in Kurzeme, after Columbia has won three battles. Lithuania is helping out with a war against Columbia of their own. Columbia secured the first battle, but Lithuania looks to win this next one. It appears it will take some time to root Columbia out completely. Good luck. Meanwhile, Albania had wiped Belarus. But as soon as she was back on the map, Belarus attacked Albania. I expect Albania to take care of them over and over again, easily.

Italy is still getting routed by Slovenia, unfortunately. Slovenia has ten battles won and looks to win the next easily. Italy is down to six regions. Can she hold out?

Peru dropped an airstrike on India, and the middle east and southeast of asia is spicey, all of the sudden. Peru has won two battles and looks to win the next easily. Iran has attacked India and won one battle. They look to win the next quite handily. And finally, Pakistan attacked Iran. What do you think will happen?

Keep shaking that ass, and I'll keep reporting.
