The future taxes I hope we can accomplish will stimulate growth within the economy and since prices are cheaper the government will still receive the same amount of money because of the increased spending.</strong>
In total the government currently has 750 gold available for spending and a whopping 34k PHP.

The current taxes are NORMAL taxes that were thoroughly studied and discussed by the recent congress, in accordance with the plans and strategies of the government.
If you would only spend some time and ask around the forums which you continually disparage, you would not come to these misguided notions.
Vote NO to the weapons and food proposals!
1) I spent the day studying the taxes and I came to the conclusion that the government will recieve the same amount of money at these rates if 1/5 person buys an "extra" amount that the normally wouldn't.
2)I've been on the forums, I mean no disrespect but this is a democracy and when I was elected I said I would do the duty of the people which at the time was lowering food and weapons taxes.
@Kymomo: Under the tax regime you're proposing:
1. Workers in a weapons company would pay LESS income tax (7%), than those working in a food/gifts/MT company (8%). Is this fair?
2. Workers in a grains company would pay LESS income tax (5%) than those working in an oil or iron company (10%). Is this fair?
Yes I am aware of this, and it is to stimulate growth in this country, take a look at other countries with less income tax in weapons you can obviously tell the market is weapons oriented and the government ends up making more money. If you would like I will personally pay the "lost income tax" if it makes you feel any better.
@Kymomo: You were elected in a collegial body. I am no law student, but I understand that congress should act as one, with the majority decision prevailing, after a reasoned and logical discussion.
"Do the duty to the people" - don't you think the rest of us aim for that as well? Do you think the taxes are such because we're not thinking of the welfare of the citizenry?
Yes of course I was elected in a collegial body, but the people that elected me told me that they would prefer lower food and possibly weapons taxes.
As for the tax issue, our country already has 1100 gold in either gold itself or PHP form. The only thing that we are saving gold for is the current training war and a Q5 Hospital
AHHH...it's 2am where I am, and I'm too tired and sleepy to educate you on these issues. Everyone, be they elected officials or not, is welcome to go to the forums to air their requests or sentiments. These issues are better addressed there, not here.
It's 13:23 here but really maybe I should have proposed this on the forums but me and many others are strongly opposed to the current food and weapons tax more importantly the food.

as to what they all said, please put your proposals in the forums. then wait for approval before you do it, except for lulz proposals cuz its just a joke.
