(Updated) My presidential candidature [Weinfass]
Greetings my fellow Czechs,
This month I am again on the presidential run, I don't want to promise that I will make this country a super power or the workshop of the world. I won't present any economical proposals to raise the GDP in a thousand percent, nor a megalomaniac plan to conquer the world with our mighty army. I do promise I will focus on what I am good, the social.
This country has three major problems, the major one is the lack of activity of the players, the second is our huge internal division and the third is our zombie congress.
I will try to solve all of them with something called direct democracy, let me explain. On our current system, people elect someone to represent them and this person can take every decision obeying only his/hers will. On direct democracy every citizen has the right to vote on what he thinks is the best for the country, if he/she thinks that we should go to war he/she can go and vote for the war, if he/she doesn't want war he can vote against it.
We have a small population, so it is easier to make this kind of system works. There will be polls on the forum to count every vote and there will also be a place to debate, this way I expect to get people more involved and to visit the forum.
Something that is important, I cannot assure that the congress will follow the indications of the popular assembly, but I can give you my word that I will ALWAYS obey the desire of the people, even if I think it is the dumbiest thing to do.
Together, and only together we will be able to build, not a mighty superpower, but the nation we would like to live, full of fun, joy and freedom!
Vote for the people, not for a person.

Wit, I can't understand what Napoleon has to do with direct Democracy, can you explain it better? Oh, and if I say we have a zombie congress, I mean that the majority of it is composed by players that never appear on the media who never make any kind of comment and who never propose anything good for the society, they are just there voting for things like, MPP with Poland and war with Germany.
Take a look, we have 30 congressmen, 400 people in the country and only 15 (rough estimation) active players, and cosidering that not all of them are congressmen we have to see that we do have a zombie congress.
Anyway, I apologize to any congressman or citizen that felt offended by this comment, although it is true.
About direct democracy, I believe it is the best way to every nation, I fail to see how it can be exploitable, except in terms of propaganda skills (right, Deniz?).
Please, those who don't like the idea, answer me who is more appropriate to rule a nation than the people that live in this nation?
Tell me, we have more multies and 2-clickers than actual players here, these people vote in the elections and choose the president and the congress, do you think it is the will of the people that is expressed in those elections?
At least in direct democracy the 2-clickers and the multies would have to be signed in the forums.

Zombie congress? I do not feel to be a zombie. We can not agree together on all issues, but I'm not a sleeping Zombie! Such disgusting insults of decent and active members of Congress, regardless of their political orientation, they come to me as unworthy candidate for the presidency.

Citizens of our country are not stupid sheep. Such insults I would have expected from other parties, not from the Nezávislost Party.
And then to direct democracy, I can not imagine this in eRep. Moreover, these methods have some drawbacks. Bread and games is what you want to introduce. I can not agree with anything like that. History teaches us about such methods and their abuse. Napoleon Bonaparte and his nephew Napoleon III. They used these methods successfully to destroy the democratic state and to gain personal benefits. My conscience is clean and your?

@Jurajs: I can't see anyone better to rule a nation than the people who live in the nation. But, feel free to disagree, it is actually part of a democracy.
Oh why suddenly such wave of disagreement? because direct democracy? Sure, there are better ways, but some organization cant make much of a damage to this state, in fact it will help it very much, just wait and see

Does it really matter who'll be the President? In the last year, not one of our presidents ( yes, even me ) has done anything for this country that had lasting effect. And I have no reason to believe Weinfass or Vit Ruzicka or whoever wins, will change that. We need group of passionate players to get this country better. President himself can't really do anything.
Totally agree, Jura, we need a group of passionate players here. But the wrong president can create a lot of problems.

i may think that in large countrys the party block should work like one, but in a place where the congressman are mostly clickers wich only conect to follow once orders, its the best way to work.

@Jura and Weinfass: I deffinetly agree.
Whatever president we choose, we simply must work together, but that ˝together˝ should not be divided into ministry places, because exactly those places are ones that are ˝splitting blade˝ inside government itself. Thats why I really prefer smth like Weinfass proposed, but in somewhat different governing of businesses. Lets form some sort of comitee for each decisions, and each decisions should be discussed in that comitee
