**Summary of ATLANTIS-PEACE battles

There were an incredible 17+ battles that had taken place yesterday in one of the largest coordinated assaults in recent memory. Even more remarkable was that PEACE was able to hold the walls up in every ATLANTIS assault except that of Spain, which resulted in driving Portugal out of the Western Hemisphere. Although the eUS assault on the Far Eastern Region of Russia had not resulted in its capture, it was a close battle that was only decided in the last 15 minutes.

Some may wonder if the war games have worked for us. In past wars, you may remember us putting up what we thought was an amazing 300,000 damage against walls, but that still wasn't enough to fight against 8 PEACE allies who pushed us back to our border in Mexico. Well, we've had time to build our strength with president scrabman's continuation of the war games. With ATLANTIS allies doing their part all over the world, eUS forces put an unprecedented 780,000 damage in the Far Eastern Region. If it were not for the 10 PEACE allies working together to hold the wall up, the result could easily have gone the other way.

Thanks must be given to all ATLANTIS allies who have participated in this operation. Gratitude must also be extended to Spain, who has reduced the threat of PEACE, moving them further from our borders and the eUS public need not worry about invasion from a border country at this time. For a better understanding of battle mechanics in eRepublik, if 1 country attacks another, the MPPs of the attacking country do not come with it, but the defender's MPPs are all activated if the defender's original territory is attacked. This means that, while Russia still borders us, if they were to attack Alaska it would be one country (Russia) against ATLANTIS. As evidenced by the FER battle, that would mean that such an attack would be met with well over 1 million damage by eUS forces combined with activated MPPs.

Respect must also be given to the nations of PEACE who, despite a never-before-seen display of force in a single day, drew upon the strength of all of their countries to hold off the advances of ATLANTIS. All who participated in these battles around the world will remember day 541 as the one that drew awe from both ATLANTIS and PEACE alike.
