Dear Compatriots

It is an honor to be elected as your leader once more. As promised I intend to implement new policies regarding the Union of Patriots' internal and external affairs.
Starting with UP's internal affairs I would like to congratulate and thank the former PP Leon Reno for making the necessary sacrifices and taking lead. You certainly have my gratitude for keeping the party in line and for the improvements we've gone through the last two terms.
Internal stability is an eternal quest. If it weren't for our former leaderships' continual investment in the social well-being within our party, we would have been on a path to failure. I therefore respect each party member, in fact, I recognize potential in every party member. However, our skills alone cannot carry this party. It is our mutual investment that that determines the well-being of the party.
This mutual investment must not be mistaken for investment in people, but in the organization itself. We have a manifesto and it is important to keep by it so that we invest our time and resources in a stable asset, and not an unstable leader/leadership.
What is this investment I'm talking about?
1)Valuing other members
We mustn't forget that we are a community. Each member contributes to the bigger picture. Whether it is recruitment or administration, we're all equal. We have to support each other nevertheless. If we then unite, we form a shield wall that's stronger than the individual.

2)Honoring our party ideology
UP seeks a free, democratic, sovereign and patriot leadership in eSA. We must remind ourselves of the type of dedication required from us. We can easily dishonor UP by being too authoritarian or too libertarian. Further recognizing that it is UP that lives within us makes us understand why we serve the entity more than the leadership. The party is an ever-fixed beacon in the sky.

3)Innovation
Time changes communities. We must recognize that we continually have to innovate to adapt to the circumstances of our community. We must improve, reform and build according to the framework the party holds. We must convene to address issues affecting the party and country. This "investment" is crucial because if we only "honor" and look back, we'll never be able to innovate and traverse the future.
Let's continue with external policy:
eSA is a fully fledged community. We must recognize the validity of other parties' input and everyone's combined efforts as whole. It is therefore important to:
hold eSA in consideration when deals are done with other members of the community, and more importantly when quarrels are dealt with. This does not mean that we don't have to stand up for our beliefs, but that we must choose our battles carefully and moreover we must be able to differentiate between battles and jokes/irrelevant issues.
identify the bigger picture. There's nothing dishonorable when refusing to work with an enemy, but if the matter concerns the well-being of eSA and indirectly the prosperity of the party, certain concessions must be made.

create inter-party relations. UP already has a set opposition. Unfortunately we can't fix all relations, but we can always start new relations. Parties like RISE, OOPs and Liberty Legion have potential. Unfortunately their intentions and plans are hard to implement with their low manpower. We must capitalize and create a win-win situation where these smaller parties' voices are heard and where we can start discussions on pursuing mutual goals. It's at this point where we can truly see politics as a positive factor in eSA. It is the idea that we can invest in our future as equally recognized citizens with an equal amount of power. Where we can start smaller successful democracies that attest to the success/failure of eSA as democratic state.

One of the external policies of this organization(from the Nationalist Union days) has always been to protect eSA. We should support eSA's MUs, facilitation programs and supply programs so that we can better our chances at beating foes withing the country, and foes at our borders.
I want to thank every patriot who read this article. Also, don't hesitate to give your input.
